I have a jvc nx-ps1 and im getting a power error im using the cord that came with it havent used it in a while,,why is this

Had the same problem, unit came on with "Power Error" for a few seconds then shut down. Checked the JVC power supply and had the correct 23.5 VDC at the pin jack. Re-inserted the power jack and quickly kept randomly pushing the front play, stop, FF, Vol + - and rewind buttons on the unit. It came on and is working fine. Guessing it's an internal software or component issue sensitive to our constantly fluctuating and failing commercial AC service

I just bought a JVC THD50 surround sound system. I want to hook up the system to my television and cable so when I watch cable I can hear the surround sound. I bought a digital optical audio cable and...

See below for the correct setup to get the best clarity sound possible.

From Set top box:
  1. Audio: optical or digital coax cable output --> jvc system Input
  2. Video: hdmi output--> jvc system input
From JVC System:
  1. Video: HDMI output---> TV HDMI input
TV:
  1. only accepting HDMI input from JVC System.
This will provide you will sound from your jvc system at all times. Your JVC system is made to be used as a hub. So essentially what you are trying to do is connect all components into the JVC system. Then only connect the video portion to your TV. The TV itself should NOT be emitting sound.

Note: You may need to turn off the speakers in the TV setup menu to acheive no sound from the TV. This will make for the ultimate experience.

S-video port

Fist of all I like to inform in computer S-Video output of the camera usually does not fit to computer. Only if the computer has S-Video Input card it will be possible. However logic is simple. Digital Camera or Camcorders uses 1394 or USB connection to connect to the computer. You havent indicate what model of JVC you use, almost all JVC Digital Cameras come with USB connection option. All you need to put USB cable in between. If it asks driver, use the CD comes with the Camera or download from JVC's support website.

Jvc gz-mg130 and jvc cu-vd20

I had this problem with the GZ-MG505AA (connecting to WinXP SP3). I tried a different USB cable and it worked first time.
Not sure what is different about the cables (the original cable worked fine with my WM 6 mobile phone).
