Hi

on your cable box, check if you do have a digital audio out. if so, then you should opt for a digital optical audio cable and connect it to your cable box, and then to your htc-555. (At the back of your htc-555 you have a digital audio input.)

hi ref my samsung ht c555 home cinema will it bebest to use digital optical cable and splitter to all the equipment and thanks for your help

  • Anonymous Jan 11, 2011

    hi

for optimum sound you should use the digital optical cable as you said. However if you want to connect several peripheral (such as psp3, skybox, dreambox etc) to your surround system you should buy a switch and not a splitter. a switch is multiple input and single output...thus you connect all the peripheral you have to the input side of the switch and the single out to the surround system. Then through the switch one can choose which peripheral to be connect to the surround system. A splitter won't work, since it is based on one input to several outputs.

hope this gives you a clearer idea.....

Samsung HW-C500 Plays FM OK so I know output to speakers is OK. Also plays music CD's OK.
But will not play from Samsung iPod dock connected to HW-C500.
Doesn't show iPod menu on TV screen either.

Samsung HT-A100 Home Cinema system plays cd only with tv on!

Hi,
You need to put away the remote for your TV and use only the remote for your HT system. Your HT remote should work on your TV by default. Your Samsung HT remote should have a TV button and a DVD/Receiver button (or HT button). When using only the TV, press the TV button and then use it for just the TV and when using the HT system, press the DVD/Receiver button and then you can use the HT system.
If for some reason your TV is not set on the Samsung HT remote by default, your HT users manual should have a list of codes that you can use to program your HT remote. Hope that helps you. Gary

Home Cinema Samsung HT Z310R- Speakers not working with TV

Hi,
You need just one cable that goes from your TV to your HT system.
On your TV you should see an RCA jack for "AUDIO OUT" and you need to plug that into your AUXILLARY "AUDIO IN" on your HT system
When you are watching TV and you want the sound to come through the HT system, just set the HT system to "AUX" mode. Most Samsung systems will have 3 'AUX' modes, set the remote on 'AUX 1' then wait a few seconds, if no sound comes through then set it on "AUX 2" wait a few seconds and if it doean't work try AUX 3.
Hope that helps.

I cant get my samsung home cinema system to play through my t.v

I bought the optical audio cable ($15 WalMart) and use the Digital In on the DVD player to play the sound through the surround system and turned the TV speakers off. Works great! The optial audio has square ends and looks transparent with just one round shaped cable that goes from the TV to the back of the DVD player.

Samsung Series 6 TV - cannot get TV to go through Home cinema speakes

Ok, the Audio can only be transfered to the HT if it is connected via something other than the HDMI, (the HDMI is just 1 way accept for the Anynet function (which is great with the 6 series. I have the LE52-A656))

The audio can be transfered via component cables but you will get the best out of your system using an optical cable. The main reason for optical is it ability to transfer 5.1. Only problem is the Samsung does not output 5.1!! bugger!! one you have connected it via the optical too. just set the HT to D-IN and you should be goo to go! :) There maybe something i have missed but Im at work at the mo but let me know how you get on :)
