You may need to removed the power cable and jumper cord that is connected to the unit threw the base that is in the portable case. Once you removed these from the base, try plugging it directly into the back of your unit and turn on again to see if this corrects the problem. If so, the power cable was not plugged securely into the jumper cord that was in the base. It has to be securely plugged into the jumper cable to send the power to the unit.

My 2007 mercury mountaineer has no power and it will not crank...the battery is good, so it's not the battery...any idea of what could be the issue?

There are a lot of possibilities. Bad starter relay, Bad ignition switch, bad starter solenoid, bad starter, anti theft engaged. First try hitting the starter while someone has the key in the start position.

Won't start no power anywhere battery tested ok and power to starter. What is up?

Could be bad or dirty battery cables or loose so no power getting through to the motor. My cables were tight but they were corroded and had no power any where. I put new cables on the pos and neg side of battery and everything worked after that. Even tried to boost and no power would go through.

Will not start no power

Check your battery terminals.... They may be corroded and not tight. Are the fuses ok? Check the cables to where they are leading to.... maybe, there is a problem with the cables.

Ford tuarus has no power. Nothing turns on including ignition. Could it be bad or corroded battery cable?

Yes it can be; or it could be that the battery is dead (or bad).
Disconnect the cables, clean the battery terminals, clean the inside of the cable ends. Connect a battery charger, let it charge for at least an hour (don't just use jumper cables from another car). Once charged try it. If you still get nothing, it could be that the battery is shot. In that case, replace it.

My 1999 Ford F250 Light Duty Truck has a corroded cable that goes to the starter. I replaced the ground cable that goes from the battery to the starter and it still will not turn over. I left the original...

the ground cable is just that. as long as it connects from the battery to the engine and another cable from the engine to body or the battery to the body, thats OK.. Now the 2 positive cables goes from battery to the starter solenoid on the fender and another from the battery to the starter itself. there is a red wire (smaller) that goes from the solenoid to the stater .....there is a fusible link at the starter solenoid, make sure that the solenoid has power. if no power ..then the fuse links may be burned out. if you connect battery power to the small terminal on the solenoid the starter should spin the engine over IF all other wires are ok.

90 nissan pickup has no electrical power. battery checks out.

First check the battery cables, and their connections. If they are OK, then check all fuses, there is one that says "Main". It is more than likely blown.

Hi
Easiest test is to reconnect jumper cables and switch lights on, if these work and no noise AT ALL from starter, NO clicking at all then could be the jumper cables are too light like most are. Try 2 sets of jumper cables. Ensure that the cables are correclty applied, Red to Red and the black is the last connection to a good steel part on your engine, NOT the battery.Always ensure the car being used to jump from is running at all times while cables are connected. When it starts remove this one FIRST also.
