According to the specifications the camera has both an in-built mmory, and also accepts an SD card with a maximum of 512 MB . Maybe it will accept a larger SD memory card but only record up to 512 MB? I do not know.

SD cards are common in camera stores, but these days they make them with 1, 2, 3 or even 8 GB ( 1GB about 1000 MB) !

Memory card corrupted

Try reformatting it by inserting into a card reader connected to PC. If it is indeed only a bad sector in the card then you will lose data but still salvage your card. Otherwise you will lose both card and data. Also, if you are using a linux OS then there are data retrieval methods available from corrupt cards as well. Kindly clarify OS.

I was using black berry then i switched to nokia e50 and i remove the mmc from black berry and when i inserted it to nokia e50 memory card is currupted how to solve this problem

You may need to format the memory card with your Nokia device.

However, all data in the memory card is permanently deleted if you format the memory card.

It is recommended to back up device memory regularly to the memory card. The information can be restored to your device

later.

To back up information from device memory to a memory card, select Menu > Tools > Memory card > Options > Backup

phone mem.

To restore information from the memory card to the device memory, select Menu > Tools > Memory card >

Options > Restore from card.

Do not remove a memory card when the card is being accessed. Removing the card in the middle of an operation may damage

the memory card as well as the device, and data stored on the card may be corrupted.

If you cannot use a memory card in your device, you may have the wrong type of memory card, the card may not be formatted

for your device, or the card has a corrupted file system.

Tip: You can install and remove a memory card without removing the battery or powering off the device.

Memory card not support.

Possible reasons:

1. Memory card not formatted.
2. Memory card could be larger than 2GB.
3. Brand of the memory card.

Nokia 6085 uses MicroSD (TransFlash) and it could support up to 2GB. If you're using a memory card that is not formatted or bigger than 2GB, you might get this error "memory card not supported'.

Sometimes, brands does matter. Nokia phones prefer to use Nokia memory cards. So you need to try using different memory card to see if there's a problem with the card or with the card slot on the phone.

Hope I answer your question properly.

Have a great day!
