Remove the battery and keep aside for about 15 minutes. Now after inserting reset the camera., if the fault occurs., remove the tape and use a hair dryer to blow into the tape tray section/drum section.
It is possible that the dew sensor is working to indicate moisture, if so the heat will change the fault.
Also if the hall IC's within the drum is faulty the drum will not move and so will indicate a fault-- service.

Why does shutter error message appear when button pressed?

If the shutter has 100K operations then the camera may be due for a replacement (not worth repairing).

Please make sure you have a fully changed battery in the camera. If the camera does not have a battery icon anywhere showing a low or dead battery then you have a camera that should be sent to a Nikon Authorized service center. They can clean and repair your camera. They will; QUOTE the repair before you pay. All you are out is shipping costs.

How do I remove the "write Protect " from my Olympus camera? I must have pushed some buttons incorrectly and suddenly it shows that "write Protect " sign. I already tried removing...

Find the flash memory card that plugs into your camera and stores the pictures. It's usually behind a door or flap on the side or bottom. Remove the card, usually accomplished by pushing it in and then it should spring outward slightly -- at least enough for you to pull it out the rest of the way. Check the card for a tiny sliding tab on the side and move it to the opposite end of its travel. See this wikipedia article for pictures and more info about write-protection.

Please re-operate after pushing reset button

Just push the "reset" button and try again. The reset button is next to the EJECT button. You will need something small to push it in.

NEED HELP

G'day,

I also have the same problem and after almost buying a replacement I thought I would try one time to get it to go.

What I did was start the cam without a tape in it, let it bring up the little red icon indicating no tape inserted, (it hadn't started flashing "PLEASE RE-OPERATE AFTER PUSHING RESET BUTTON" at this stage) then I inserted my tape. Hey presto, it works although for how long I don't know. I'll immediately start burn my tapes to disc while the going is good.

Hope this helps someone
