Hi again, I have tried installing the 4GB memory stick to transfer the pix from my D60 Nikon to my PC but it doesn't let me transfer from the SoftwareSuite D: drive. (I can't open them either) I'm confused & why has this happened now, I've had the D60 nearly two years and never encounted this problem as it always transfers automatically?? THX!!

Memory card

The D60 was released BEFORE HD SD cards came out. The 4 gig card MAY BE TOO BIG. HSD I think is the Nomenclature you may need a normal SD card. I think 2GB is as big as you can go but don't quote me.

Can i use 4GB Compact Flash in Nikon Cool pix 4300 Nikon Digital Camera?

A 4GB CompactFlash card should work in your Nikon Coolpix, but you may only be able to use 2GB of it's space once formatted correctly. This camera formats the cards in the FAT file system. That basically means that one can only use up to 2GB of memory (2048 MB).

Trying to transfer video from Sony Dig 8 to PC

Hi,
Videos cant be held on memory stick. They are of huge size to fit into memory sticks.

Check if camera has the firewire port. If so, you can get a 4 pin firewire cable and connect to the PC.
Switch on the Cam.
Open Windows Movie Maker and import video from device.

4 pin firewire would look like this:

You can use the Movie maker to burn it to the Disk

Nikon coolpix L18. Can't put pix on comp. format card

I suggest you to remove the card from the camera and use a memory card reader to transfer the pictures to the computer. Note that the memory card should be formatted in the camera. Once the pictures are transferred you can reinsert the memory card to the camera and then format it in the camera.
