This is probably a heat issue (assuming you aren't the one turning off the TV and aren't having regular power failures). This TV has two fans to help keep the components cool; if the temperature increases, the TV will shut down to protect those components. Also check if the ventilation slots are blocked and clean the dust off them. (When you have the TV open, you can blow out dust as well - much like dust removal for a desktop CPU.)
Alot of times the inside is filled with dust witch makes the curcuits heat up. Shuting down is an internal safety measure. Try takeing the back off and blowing out the dust with compressed air.
sounds as if the heat-sink is either defective or check your directions booklet to see if your TV is one of those that can only be run for so long then needs to cool down, if it is, one way to get more run time out of it is to rig up a fan to blow into the back, cooling it off.
I had the same problem with my SamsungDLP tv a couple of weeks ago. I had to clean the lenses, mirrors and the DMD sensor to fix it, you must remove the rear cover to do this. If the mirrors and lenses were cleaned but the spots were still there, the final thing to do is to clean the sensor chip on the DMD board. It is located under the heat sink behind the small fan in the lower center of the rear of the TV. The DMD board will have to be removed to get to the back of the sensor. All you have to do is blow some dry canned air across it to remove the dust, do not wipe it with anything. The repair is somewhat complicated and you will probably have to realign the picture by adjusting the position of the DMD board when finished.
Get a high pressure can of air and blow out circut boards with quickshort bursts (after removing lower back pannel! It may also be your flyback voltage regulater (about 60.00 for part!
Look for the computer processor inside the TV. It needs to be cleaned. A can of compressed air will work. The processor is overheating and causing the tv to shut off. Look for the small fan that is supposed to keep the processor cool then remove the dust.
