How do you copy contacts to the sim ?

Contacts can't be copied onto a SIM card. The SIM card is simply a physical identifier, so that your phone knows who your carrier is; no SIM card, no cell service. It doesn't hold user data.

I transferred all the phone numbers from my old sony ericsson cell phone to my sim card, but cannot figure out how to copy all the sim numbers onto my new sony ericsson vivas pro.

To transfer your contacts through the SIM card:

Copy your contacts from your old phone to your SIM card. If you need help with this, please consult the old phone user guide.
When the copying is done, move the SIM card to your new phone.
Select Menu > Contacts.
If the phone asks you to copy info from the SIM card, skip steps 5-10.
Otherwise, tap Options > Settings > Contacts to display.
Select SIM memory > OK, then tap Back.
Tap Options > Mark/Unmark > Mark all.
Tap Options > Copy > Phone memory.
Tap Options > Settings > Contacts to display.
Select Phone memory > OK, then tap Back.

To copy contacts from a SIM card to device memory,

Go to contacts--------->select Options----> SIM contacts -------> SIM directory to open the SIM directory.

-------->Mark the contacts you want to copy, or select Mark all to copy all contacts.
Select Options --------> Copy to Contacts.

all the contacts wil be copied to you contact list.

You do one thing. First copy all the messagesyou have in the memory in a place. Then randomly delete all from the old phone. I'm sorry Sir, but messages can't be copied into the sim memory. Sim memory can only hold contacts ( that also to a limited extent ).

hi,

this link is a simulator of your phone http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/phones/detailed/trythephone/w910i?lc=fr&cc=us, instead of operating blind it can help you
i suggest to do the operation in the simulator and make the same thing in the real phone "blindely"
here is the way if you dont know it already

go to the contacts menu, options, scroll untill more, select
scroll untill advanced , select
scroll untill copy to sim, the select
confirm

Go to contact list and select the contact.press option button then press copy option then press copy to phone.

Hello there. all you do is copy all your contacts from your old phone onto the sim card. you then put the sim card in your new phone. and then transfare all the contacts from the sim card to the phone. i hope i helped! bye!

Sir please go to the contacts option rightclick and select the options next to the advanced option in this first select the copy from sim.your simcard contacts are copy to the phone.now you insert the new simcard.go to the advanced option and now select the copy to sim option.so that you can copy the old simcard contacts to the new simcard.....................
