I'm a college student you got a new fridge; the black round thing by LG in the back works (it heats up I guess). but nothing happens when I plug it up? Sorry this is so vague but its all I have. Oh, it makes a thump every once in a while. I was reading other postings and couldn't see anything about it not freezing over (which it doesn't) but just not working. Please help me!

Your problem is a blocked drain which prevents melt water from the defrost from getting out. You'll have to expose the coils and find the drain hole. It is possible that the problem can be on the other end of the hose...where it hits the evaporation pan in the bottom of the unit.

The small cooling fan in the freezer compartment that sends chilled air to the food side is defective and needs replacement. Sometimes that are only frozen stuck.

I have a Haier mini fridge model hrt02wncbb it will not cool, The fan runs all the time. I keep it in my class at school but there is five other mini fridge they work find what should i do?

Was your fridge transported upright at all times? There are warnings on most brands not to lay them down due to potential damage. If that was not the case, those small units are often easy to repair.
[Note to garing: The person said there was no ice anywhere but on the back. Dorm sized refridgerators are rarely frost free, so your answer was pointless.]
