Kenmore He3 11044832 in handwash mode light keeps blinking. Tried unplugging for a day and it"s still the same. looked for the manual, seen the plastic packing but no manual in it. What could be the possible problems? To make things a little worse I noticed the strike had a crack in it. couldn"t of been that because it"s still mounted solid to the door. But I took a screwdriver and closed the latch figuring maybe the door just wasn"t being read it was closed. Now the washer is still not working and I have the door stuck in an open position.

hmm there is no f21 code there is a F02 code which means the washer is not draining which seems to be what you describe. Did you take the front axcess cover off and check the pump sump area?? Also check to see if the drain motor hums when drain/spin is selected if no hum and motor sits there and no blockage in trap you either have a faulty drain pump or main control board. Washer is still under factory warranty at 7 months so call whirlpool and they will send a tech out. Dont forget to rate my solution as solved if i answered your question accurately.....Thanks!!

ok nice details..all you can do is replace the lock latch,,its not to costly,,change the catch while your there,,,lock part number is,,8181700 and catch part number is 8181651..it will be better just to replace it in the long run ,,,onthejob..

Uh oh! It did it again! This time I had to unplug 6 times for one cycle. Seems to be on the last 2 minutes most of the time. Today my husband is taking the control unit and looking for soldering problems. On Askmehelpdesk.com this man told of taking the bottom panel off and there is a little black latch thingy you pull to open the door lock manually. Also he said that the K2 and K4 relays are usually the problem if it isn't a soldering issue on the connectors. ( On the CCU);. He said one of them is usually burned and to clean it off and then switch it with the other one which carries less voltage, therefore doesn't burn. You can use a pencil eraser to do this. My husband told me they did this in the Army for MOose code contacts. He just told lme the soldeirng looks good on the connectors and is now working on the K2 and K4 relays. Gosh, I hope this helps someone as it sure is not fun trying to track this problem down. I am glad you got Sears to come out. I will NEVER and I repeat NEVER buy from Sears again! Did I mention I wrote a letter months ago when I was having a hard time getting warranty work done.( Which I never did) that I had written to the pPesident, CFO and the Texas Attorney General for Consulmer Protection Division and never got a response from anyone?
