Rear brake lights not working - 1994 Geo Prizm

Rear break lights won't go out when break peddle is released

First check your fueses, if thats not it on the slinder part of the arm behind the dash "the break" arm. There is a toggel switch when you push the break the button will release causing the break lights to come on when you let off the breaks it will engage the toggle switch and turn off the break lights....if the toggle switch goes out they wont work also have some one stand behind the car and wiggle the wires of the toggle switch see if it has a bad connection before you replace the switch could be just corresion or the wires may have came loose..
