What is the lens configuration for a tasco telescope 25 30mm?

From the picture it looks like you are holding a small finder scope which usually mounts onto a larger telescope. Usually these are all one unit and do not have replacement eyepieces. If someone took the lens out throw it away as these can be bought for less than $20 brand new. It cannot be fixed at reasonable cost.

I'm sure this will sound stupid, I just bought a rifle with a Tasco red dot scope on it and have no idea how to activate the scope. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks

No, that doesn't sound stupid. It's always a good idea to get all the information before using firearms and their accessories, and I'm happy to help:

The large knob on top of the scope is the rheostat, which is used to turn on the red dot, and adjust the brightness. It can be adjusted from "1" (dimmest) to "11" (brightest). You'll have to be looking straight down the scope to see the red dot, since it is only visible when you're aiming. If you turn on the scope to the brightest setting, and you look through like you are aiming, and the red dot is still not there (or very dim) then you probably need to replace the battery. It uses a 3 Volt coin-style lithium battery, type 2032. Unscrew the battery compartment on top of the rheostat and put the new battery "+" side up. Then replace the battery cover, and you should be good to go. Turn off the scope when you're done to save the batteries.

Since you bought the rifle with the scope already installed, it's probably already sighted in, or pretty close to being sighted in. Adjusting the windage and elevation on the red dot scope works just like other rifle scopes. The knob on top moves the point of impact up/down, and the knob on the side moves left/right. For this model, each click of adjustment moves the point fo impact by 1/2" at 100 yds, 1/4" at 50 yds, or 1/8" at 25 yds.

Be safe, and have fun!

My cross hairs do not move when i adjust my sights. i bought a laser bore sighter and the laser points in the same exact spot no matter how far i turn my adjustments nor do my cross hairs move.

This happens a lot during bore sighting, - no shock to the scope to jar the cross hairs. So take your screwdriver and use the handle - rap the scope or better just tap it. Not hard enough to bend/dent it but jar it so things can move if need to.

No Dot

I am not familiar with this particular model, but on another type, there is both an on/off switch and an intensity adjustment. Assuming the switches are on and at maximum intensity, if no dot can be seen, I would suspect the battery has run down. Mine says this can happen quickly if you neglect to turn it off when not in use (mine has only a button cell for power).

Tasco scope

Sight in rifle.Put top(elevation)cap back on with the"0" facing back.Be careful not to make it "click"as this will change point of impact. The way this works is you aim at animal and adjust the power(3-9)until the animal's body is between the 2 lines.Look in the little window on eyepiece to see distance of selected animal. Then click top knob to the correct distance(200,300,etc.)This should raise bullet impact for that distance.I've had this scope on a .270 since 1980 and never used this feature.(I only bought it because the scope was on sale)

No instructions in box for Millett multi-dot pistol sight.

why do you need a, a multi-dot sight anyway, unless your into competition, if you like sights keep them for a rifle. realistically a sight isnt for an handgun, when in situations your closed quarters fighting. Don't be having to much accessories galore it marks you as wanna be SF
