We had similar problem, with the spin cycle not working. We opened the 'drain' pipe (front-right bottom side). It was full of lime scale; never been opened for years. We cleaned it up and the spin cycle is now working.

SOURCE: Bosch classixx 1000 washing machine - stops on spin

Washing machine stops at the spin cycle - light flashes. Have to drain water out manually. Happened last week and was then able to run an empty rinse cycle. Machine worked normally for another week. Same problem today but have had to drain water manually from the drum after trying an empty 90 wash and rinse cycle (both stopped on the Spin and flashed). Any ideas? Thanks. x

(E4) There is a round door on the lower front of the washer. There is a small hole near the door. Put a small screwdriver blade in the hole, push in just a little, and you can rotate the door clockwise, the door will come out and you can get to the problem. When the water is drained in machine the door is open able.

Immediately facing you is a black connector, about 4 inches (10cm) in diameter. When you unscrew this, all the water left in the washer will spill out onto the floor. Use a plastic bag to catch this or a small pan.(later models have a drain hose?) The black connector unscrews counterclockwise, and takes quite a few turns. Once you have it out, you'll find the source of your clog. Remove it, clean out, screw the black connector back in. You can check with rinse, if you want to make sure there are no leaks. Put the door back on and rotate. I will try to come back to you re. the wash, wash.

SOURCE: Bosch maxx classic washing machine doesn't clean clothes

There are a lot of things to consider when trying to solve this problem. Obviously a front loader washes differently than a top loader. Top loaders tend to using a washing motion that is good for stains but wear out your clothes fast. Front loaders typically use less water and wash more gently, but in some ways still do better than top loaders. Anyway, think about any other variables that go into the laundry equation. Consider the distance the machine is from your water heater. This machine will use MUCH less water to fill than your old one, and, you know how when you turn a faucet on hot it takes a minute for the hot water to actually get there? It's the same way with your machine. If there's a sink next your washer, you should always turn on the hot water on the faucet until it gets hot right before you start the machine. The same goes for dishwashers. If there's not a sink close you can easily turn up the temperature for all hot water on your water heater, although that will use more energy.
Consider what detergent you're using. If you're using high efficiency detergent (like Tide he) maybe you should switch to your old brand. If you're using your old brand of detergent, try getting a high efficiency detergent.

SOURCE: Bosch WFF1800 - not spinning

HI,

move the kicking plate on the front-bottom of the machine. You will see o circular lid there, turn it on anti-clockvise to open. All of the water blocked will come from there, be careful. Look carefully that there are some objects blocking the water draining. Then turn on the machine on draining programme, the plastic rotor should turn fastly when the machine is on. If it is not running, change the pump motor. If it is running, but machine is not draining again you can understand that there is an objeck stuck on the hose between drum and pump motor. Lay down the machine on its rear facade, you will see a large and black hose between drum and pump motor. When you remove it, you will see that there is something that blocks water running.

I have a Bosch Maxx Classic front loader about 15 y.o. Somehow gravel ended up in the system, and it eventually killed the motor. I replaced the motor, so now it spins, fills & drains water.

Gravel can't kill the motor. The motor is only connected via a drive belt. The only thing gravel can do is damage the pump as the gravel and water runs past the pump impeller!

If it doesn't turn in wash (low speed), but it does spin in spin mode (high speed), my guess is the the belt needs tightening or replacing.

Hello my name is Kevin Singh and i had purchased one of your Bosch Front loading washing machines (model number: wfk2401) probably about 10 years ago i used it last on this last Sunday and it seems to not...

Have you checked the pump and filter are clear? Remove kickplate plinth panel to expose pump. Drain off excess water via small black hose. Check the hoses are clear, particularly if it is connected under the sink, via a spigot connection. If the machine has good motor action, but not spinning effectively, it will more than likely be a drainage problem.

Bosch Washing Machine drum won't spin

It doesn't spin If your washer won't spin, check these: It doesn't pump or spin It pumps, but doesn't spin It spins only with the lid closed It doesn't pump or spin If it doesn't pump water out or spin, check to see if the motor is running, then proceed as follows: If the motor is running, your washer probably has a frozen pump pulley or a broken pump belt. To check the pulley, remove the pump from the washer and try to rotate the pulley manually. If it doesn't turn freely--if it's frozen or stiff--replace it. If the pump belt is broken or looks quite worn, replace it--but be sure to check the pump pulley before you change the belt. If the motor isn't running, the lid switch may be defective. If so, the washing machine can't spin and may not function at all. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washing machine to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it. It pumps, but doesn't spin If your washer pumps out the water but doesn't spin, check these: The lid switch may be defective. If it is, the washing machine doesn't spin. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washing machine to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it. The motor coupler may be broken. Many Whirlpool®-manufactured washers use a small, relatively inexpensive motor coupling. It's plastic and rubber and is mounted to the shaft of the motor on one side, and to the transmission on the other. Over time, the coupler wears out and fails. You may need to replace it. A belt may be broken. Many washing machines have one or two belts. If a belt is broken or badly worn, you need to replace it with a genuine belt from the manufacturer. (Some washing machine belts are designed with special characteristics not found in automotive belts.) The clutch may be worn. If your washer is a GE, it may use a clutch to come up to the proper spin speed. As the clutch wears out, it may prevent the unit from spinning well or at all. If the clutch is worn, you need to replace it. For this job, you probably want to hire a qualified appliance repair technician. The drive motor may be defective. Many washer brands use a reversing motor. For agitation the motor runs in one direction, for spinning and draining, the other. It's possible for a motor to burn out in one direction and continue to operate in the other. If this happens, you need to replace the entire motor. The transmission may not be shifting properly. Older washers produced by Whirlpool® have a transmission with an electro-mechanical shifter. If the shifter becomes even partially defective, the unit may drain the water but not spin. This is a complex system, if your washer has a shifter problem, you may want to hire a qualified appliance repair technician to repair it. The spin bearing or basket drive may be worn or seized. These components allow the inner tub to spin freely inside the outer tub. When this is the problem, you usually hear a loud sound during the spin cycle.

I have a bosch maxx 1000 (wfl2000au/30) machine will not spin. pupm impeller was jammed by a bobby pin. i removed the bobby pin. when machine is on spin cycle only the pump opperates. does not spin at all....

If there is no water in washer, and it will not spin, I suggest you remove the motor, and check the brushes.
If they are less than 3 or 4mm long, they need replacing.
Hope this helps.

My machine is not spinning

Hi,

Whenever the ,machine do not spin, you need to investigate before you order or replace any part. There might be many reasons and you should check each and every aspect. Follow the below guide that would help you to find the fix :-

It doesn't pump or spin If it doesn't pump water out or spin, check to see if the motor is running, then proceed as follows:

  • If the motor is running, your washer probably has a frozen pump pulley or a broken pump belt. To check the pulley, remove the pump from the washer and try to rotate the pulley manually. If it doesn't turn freely--if it's frozen or stiff--replace it. If the pump belt is broken or looks quite worn, replace it--but be sure to check the pump pulley before you change the belt.

  • If the motor isn't running, the lid switch may be defective. If so, the washing machine can't spin and may not function at all. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washing machine to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it.

It pumps, but doesn't spin If your washer pumps out the water but doesn't spin, check these:

  • The lid switch may be defective. If it is, the washing machine doesn't spin. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washing machine to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it.

  • The motor coupler may be broken. Many Whirlpool®-manufactured washers use a small, relatively inexpensive motor coupling. It's plastic and rubber and is mounted to the shaft of the motor on one side, and to the transmission on the other. Over time, the coupler wears out and fails. You may need to replace it.

  • A belt may be broken. Many washing machines have one or two belts. If a belt is broken or badly worn, you need to replace it with a genuine belt from the manufacturer. (Some washing machine belts are designed with special characteristics not found in automotive belts.)

  • The clutch may be worn. If your washer is a GE, it may use a clutch to come up to the proper spin speed. As the clutch wears out, it may prevent the unit from spinning well or at all. If the clutch is worn, you need to replace it. For this job, you probably want to hire a qualified appliance repair technician.

  • The drive motor may be defective. Many washer brands use a reversing motor. For agitation the motor runs in one direction, for spinning and draining, the other. It's possible for a motor to burn out in one direction and continue to operate in the other. If this happens, you need to replace the entire motor.

  • The transmission may not be shifting properly.

  • The spin bearing or basket drive may be worn or seized. These components allow the inner tub to spin freely inside the outer tub. When this is the problem, you usually hear a loud sound during the spin cycle. Call a qualified appliance repair technician.

It spins only with the lid closed For safety, washing machines are made so that they spin only with the lid closed. The lid switch prevents the spinning action when the lid is up.

Hope i helped you.

My 4year old Bosch 800 front loader washing machine will not pump out water or spin after the first washing cycle, have cleaned filters? We live in the country at Meckering western australia, Can you...

1 their is a coupling between the motor and the pump and this has finally worn out...2 on some models the pump is belt driven and the belt could be bad...3 on some models the pump is seperate from the drive motor and has its own motor just for the pump...this could be running but the pump part could be bad....even if it worked somewhat before that still does not mean the pump or the coupling that connects the pump to the motor wasnt going bad.....nearly all machines will allow the water to drain out if you just lower the drain hose lower than the tub...try letting the water drain into a small bucket and then see if it wil spin...it should spin once the water is drained out but you will have to keep the drain hose in the bucket lower than the tub through the spin cycle....this should work and allow you to get all the water out of your machine....dont use it anymore once you do this as you could damge other parts by trying to make it work...the parts and labor to fix this shouldnt be over 100 dollars
