If the default username and password (admin/1111) are not working on your Xerox 7435 printer, you can try resetting the password to its default settings using the following steps:
Turn on the printer and wait for it to boot up completely. Press the button with a wrench icon on the printer's control panel to enter the settings menu. Use the arrow keys to navigate to the "Security" option and press the OK button. Select the "User Authentication" option and press OK. Enter the current password, if you remember it. If you don't remember it, leave it blank. Select the "Reset User Accounts" option and press OK. Select the "Restore Defaults" option and press OK. Confirm that you want to restore the default settings by selecting "Yes" and pressing OK. After you have completed these steps, the printer's password will be reset to the default settings (admin/1111). You should now be able to log in to the printer's settings menu using these credentials.
Hi
I found information about this error and some approaches to solving it here:
http://www.support.xerox.com/support/workcentre-7425-7428-7435/support/enus.html
and they can be tried in the order given. Hopefully either 1 or 2 or 3 on the list will work as they are non-cost options as opposed to number 4 which could be quite pricey.
Hope this is helpful, if so would you please register that with Fixya
Cheers
Call Xerox. The Corporation needs to take responsibility for selling a machine that has toner available. //They should tell you where to get the toner or provide some for you. Start out nice but don't let the push you around; insist if you need to. Xerox can't sell a machine with no toner.
It looks like the username and password are both 'admin', and if that doesn't work it might be '11111'.
I found the manual here, which might help for future problems: http://download.support.xerox.com/pub/docs/WCM24/userdocs/any-os/en/WCM24_Quick_Connect_Guide.pdf
The service tech should do this. The 7435 should be less than 3 months old, and Xerox should fix it. If you bought it from Global, or another company that does not actually employ Xerox technicians, try appealing to them, but I cannot tell you for sure what the outcome will be. Buying from an authorized agency ensures that you can use your "Total Satisfaction Guarantee".
