Dual Voice-Coil
The unique Dual Voice-Coil design allows both left and right channel
sound from just one speaker. Simply hook up both the left and the right
channels to the special terminals on the speaker. Hook up one channel
only, if the speaker is to be used in a conventional stereo set-up.
I found this on jamo site hope that will help you

The jamo sub is a fine buy but also look at subs from REL as they can hit hard when needed and are great for music. Now on to your amp, look round the back and you should find a socket marked sub pre out, plug a sub or phono lead into this and then into the input on the sub, this could be marked in or line in,turn up the volume or gain on the sub and also make sure you have the sub turned on in the speaker settings in your amp.
Hope this helps.

If the subwoofer has its own power cord seperate from the rest of the audio system, the internal amplifier could be fried or u have a loose connection inside the box

More likely there is a bad solder connection or a bad connector contact inside the unit, could also be a blown or dried up electrolytic capacitor.
Check the line signal input plugs, if they are soldered directly to the board then check the solder around the pins - if it has circular cracks, you need to resolder the pins.
Also check any other components on the board for such cracks on the pins, including internal connectors, disconnect, clean the pins if necessary and reconnect them.
If any electrolytic capacitors have a bulged top, they are blown and need to be replaced.
It could as well be something else, but your description suggests either a fault at the input connectors or some trouble with the input signal level sensing circuitry (no signal to the sensing circuit may be caused by connectors, no response from the sensing circuit may be caused by bad capacitors or other faulty components in or around that section).
Hope you can find out what it is and fix it...

THE IS A FUSE INSIDE THE UNIT,YOU MAY WANT TO CHECK THAT.IF IT BLOWS AGAIN WHEN TURNED ON YOU HAVE SHORTED MOSFETS. THEY ARE LIKE TRANSISTORS.
