My webcam is not working after installating windows 7

When you re-installed windows 7 did you install the same version or was 32 installed before and you now put in 64?

Was the computer connected to the Internet with a LAN cable when you installed Windows 7. During the Windows 7 installation Windows will automatically find and download the drivers.
The HP/Compaq WEB site may have a WEBcam driver for your model laptop.
If all else fails then try installing Windows 7 again and make sure the laptop is connected to the Internet before you start the installation.

Logitech does not provide Windows 7 drivers for this webcam.
Let Windows 7 search for drivers, it may work if you are lucky.

Hello sir, hi, you need a driver for your webcam for windows 7. browse the manufacturer website for updates to the webcam driver. (this is the problem plaguing windows 7, no available driver YET.)

mcdevito75 here, You should be able to up-date your windows 7 to vista, for your home page type in up-Date windows OR! left click on tools (very top of screen) then click on windows up date.

1st You download Webcam Driver. Logitech Webcam Driver For Windows 7 After this install the Webcam driver in the system.
Installation of Webcam Driver

• Go to the control panel
• Click on the System Icon
• Click on the Hardware Tab
• Click on the Device Manager then
• Select the Unknown Device or printer device where yellow Question Marks sign on it.
• Right click on it and uninstall it.
• After this go to the top of the device manager and click on scan for hardware changes.
• Driver installation Wizard start.
• Brows Your Driver from the Hard Disk and click on next.
• Driver will be install.

Currently there aren't any drivers for your computer with Windows 7. Dell only offers drivers for your computer with Windows XP or Windows Vista. I would try using the Creative Labs Webcam Driver they have for Vista. Since many things about Vista & 7 are similar, often the drivers for Vista will work with Windows 7. Go to dell.com, enter the model of your computer, choose Vista as your operating system, then go to Input Devices, choose the Creative Webcam and download the driver to your desktop (I suggest against using Dell's Download Manager, just download via your browser like you usually would). Then install the driver. With any luck your will be up and running with your webcam.

In windows 7 webcam work as plug and play, In case if through plug and play web cam is not working then insert the webcam installation disk and after complete the installation plug the web cam and it will work fine.

Contact HP to get the camera drivers so it will work on windows 7.

Your lenevo IdeaPad S10 doesn't support windows 7 nor Windows Vista, so no drivers is available for your webcam.You might be able to install Windows 7 but only Windows XP drivers are available from IBM site.

If your system has atleast support Windows Vista and the drivers for windows vista might work with windows 7 as 90% of the drivers meant for Windows Vista works fine with windows 7,

Check out the chipset of your webcam and go to the manufacturer site and check if any updates are available from their side.
