Thats because the starter version does not support changing the background. Other people have found ways of using certain programs to make it work. Do a "Google" and it will help you.
check on your RAM memory whether is loose or not, try to remove the RAM memory and insert it back again. After this is done,t he beeping sound will gone and yr desktop may start.
if you want to delete wallpaper from desktop , first go to the desktop > right click > select properties > the display properties will appear then select desktop option then select "none" option on the background menu and press apply ,the desktop background will appear blank ,you can also choose color of the background from the color box in the same menu
Have you tried a safe mode boot (press F8 just before the win start screen and choose safe mode) to see what happens and check for the installed programs. Also try in safe mode with network, update yor antivirus and do a full scan.
i would go to asus or computer manufacture's site, or microsoft and find and download the driver manually. Then install it by double-clicking the downlaoded driver file. I also recommend right clicking on screen, go to properties or display properties, and only use the windows 7 them and not a modified or customized theme.
Ok what's happening is that you have it set up as an extension of your desktop, you need to mirror the displays. when your projector is plugged in and it is showing only the desktop background, open "System Preferences," click "Displays," click "Positioning" and check the box that says "Mirror Displays." This should do the trick.
Ok.I got your point.Actually you're in extended mode.
Once you connect you can have 2 types of output to your projector.
1.Clone mode--> make everthing look the same
2.Extended mode--> have another new space for you to use.
** in extended mode you'll have a background of your desktop.you can drag any running program to that space.
How to setup clone and extended mode
1.Click start-->Settings-->Conteol Panel-->Display
2.Under Display Properties window click the last tab name settings
3.Under display select you 2nd monitor
3.Below Screen Resolution you should be able to see a checkbox "extended my windows destop on to this monitor"
please check this box for extended mode or uncheck it incase you won't to use clone mode.
Hi, I can help you with this problem. I ran into the same one a while back. You need the most current and correct drivers for your video card. Can you tell me what kind of video card you have? Brand and model number.
The TV will always show as screen number 2 because the laptop screen will be found first. I use mine as a monitor for my Desktop.. However, for the picture to show what your laptop does you have to clone your desktop. The button should be where your screen properties are located.
