SUMMARY: This is expected printer driver behavior. The
NT Forms feature allows a user or system administrator to configure a so-called "form-to-tray assignment" for the printer. When this feature is enabled it is not possible to select a specific paper tray for a print job, or to set it as default, because the system is aware of the specific paper size and type loaded in the various printer trays, which makes the source selection redundant. Some applications or environments may require a "form-to-tray assignment" in order to take advantage of certain features. For instance, in an Active Directory environment, this feature has to be enabled for the operating system to be able to report the available paper sizes in the printer to the Active Directory
