However, looking at the other models they had there should be a door on the bottom of the scale. It looks like a release tab that you push in then lift up on. Give that a try.

The 1 part just slides off.

I contacted Salter and unfortunately the scales cant be repaired. Could you please remove my request. Thank you.

If it's the same as ours (clock button top left, clear bottom left):

1. press and hold clock until the clock starts to flash
2. set time using h/m/s keys
3. press clock again
