My Kenmore elite he3t is giving me a problem in the spin cycle. Even thought the spin setting is set on high or extra high, the drum turns very slowly and will eventually stop and the washer starts beeping while flashing the code "F 02". any ideas?

The machine will not advance to the high-speed spin cycle unless the water is drained first. The F02 error code manifests this condition as it means draining problem. Either the pump filter is blocked, the drain hose is clogged/kinked, the pressure switch is stuck in the full position, or the pump itself is not working. The display can be cleared by pressing the Pause/Cancel button twice.

Disconnect power and remove the three screws attaching the lower front access panel to the cabinet then pull the panel down and off the cabinet. You can prop up the bottom front edge of the washer or cushion and lean it against the wall to access and remove the screws more easily.

Once the panel is off, remove the filter by turning the knob counterclockwise. Clean the filter from any debris that prevents water from draining out properly. Click on the link below for further troubleshooting should the cleaning of the filter does not resolve the problem.
