Capresso C-1000 coffee maker. Unit is overheating while trying to make coffee. No water flowing into the cup. 4 green lights come on. Inner screen is not blocked. Unit is 8 years old, but this is a new problem

The unit manufacturer specifically advises against vinegar. I will try another decal run with Durgol, although this was done at the machines request a few weeks ago - perhaps some scale loosened up and clogged the machine...

Empty the water tank and Refill the water tank again. Filling the Water Tank • Open the water tank lid and remove the water tank. • Remove the Claris water cartridge packaging. • Rinse water tank well with clean, cold tap water then fill tank with water. • Make sure that the low water flotation device is in place. If not, readjust it on its place. • Replace water tank and make sure it clicks correctly into place. Then try again and see if the same problem is seen. -------------- If this is not helping then see the position of the selector knob,it should be set on coffee position.Reset it on coffee position.------If its set properly, then try reset method:-- 10.1 Resetting the Machine This procedure will take less than 30 seconds: A. Sometimes hard water can build up and cause blockages.
Try mixing hot water and white vinegar (50/50 mix) and try running it through the machine. If this works, run it through a few more times than run cold water through a couple times to get rid of the vinegar.

The water doesn't come out from the cofee spout

Once coffee is extracted, its passage from the brew group to the cup is a simple gravity flow. There is no pressure to push its flow.
Layers of dried coffee clog the passage. In your machine this is advanced clogging or the water is not passing through the coffee and being drained into the tray.
To prevent this, use rinse cycle every day after coffee making is completed.
Descale the machine using Manual descaling method.
Do not use Filter cartridges as the same are expensive & ineffective.

I have a Jura S9A that is about 2 years old, brewed about 1600 cups. Regular filter changes/cleanings. When I brew a coffee, it dribbles out, but makes a full cup of coffee. It also has trouble getting a...

It's all plugged with 'lime scale'. That's the white stuff that builds up from hard water. Regular vinegar run through at least two cycles will clear it, then a couple with fresh water to rinse it. That will bring it back to normal flow!

I own a Jura Capresso S8 espresso machine which has been wonderful except for the pump that makes the froth. I sent it back to be repaired once already, at the tune of $250.00. Now it seems to have gone again, and this time it will cost me $275.00 to have it repaired. Anything I can do myself?
