I've been looking for the self-timer on the Polaroid i1236, but I can't seem to figure out how to find it in the settings and set it up. The help would be great. Thank you.

The self-timer is in the drive mode setting.

From the Record menu, select Drive Mode. Use the up/down keys to go through the
selection. Press the OK button to save and apply changes.

The self-timer choices are ten-second delay, two-second delay, and double, which takes one picture after a ten-second delay and takes a second picture two seconds later.

I need to know the Max for memory

The i1236 uses SD cards, so the largest card you can use is 2GB. However, there is nothing stopping you from using multiple cards.

I just bought this camera today and cannot access the "read me" information so am in the dark on how to operate camera properly. I have taken some pictures but now it says, "Memory full" what does that...

You can download the manual from
http://www.polaroid.com/support_detail?p=4317
The instructions will guide you through deleting/editing pictures or you can print or download to a PC using a USB connector.
Please rate this solution. Thanks.

Sometimes, too, my Polaroid i1236 camera will not power on ... is there an easy fix?

I have also had this problem. I have checked the batteries and they showed good charge. I changed out the batteries and the camera worked OK. I assumed that the camera is very voltage sensetive, and that the battery change must have given it the little bit extra it needed.

My new i1236 Polaroid digital camera will turn

1) The card could be write protected, check the side of the card see if there's a small notch to slide up or down.

2) The camera could have photo protection option switched on, you have to go through the user manual and the camera menu to switch that off.

3) If you don't get too far with the first options, as its new, take it back to the vendor and ask them to demonstrate it to you and to your satisfaction. If there is a problem with the camera, request a replacement or refund under warranty.

I have a model i1236 Polaroid digital camera. Unit will turn on but will not take ord delete existing photos. Seems like the camera is locked. Will let you scroll through the photos already on the card.

It sounds like your memory card is write-protected. SD and SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.
