I use the Asus WL-330ge as a network adapter for my HP Printer. This worked perfectly until I switched internet providers. I changed the IP on my printer to the same subnet as my new wireless router...

Let me state how I think you have this setup
Printer is Ethernet ---------- Ethernet (WL-330GE wireless adapter)
WL-330GE adapter >>>>>> Wireless >>>>>> New Router

eth_adapter_mode-d2r1efs5ntrf2rjwzg4ldeyi-5-0.jpg Diagram and mode is from
https://www.asus.com/Networking/WL330gE/HelpDesk_Manual/
ASUS WL-330gE user's manual in English

So I think you need to use Ethernet Adapter Mode !

The computer shown would be your printer
As you are using wireless you need to set up the wireless ssid and the wpa or wep encryption to match the new router I am guessing .
in section 4.3 advanced settings in the above manual link from ASUS.
Also the access point has an ip address by default as 192.168.0.1 255.255.255.0 you would have to most likely have 176.16.1.2 and the new router as 176.16.1.1 and the same subnet mask what ever it is maybe it is 255.255.255.0 then make the printer 176.16.1.5 subnet 255.255.255.0 or whatever subnet you use.
Make sure you log into the new router and alter the DHCP server to assign leases from 176.16.1.10 to 176.16.1.254 with same subnet mask.

Hi,
Are you sure that is your WL-330's ip address? If you are, I suggest you reset it then try to configure it again. You can reset it through the reset pin hole. Press and hold it for 15-20 sec. Then try accessing the setup page again using the default.
Hope it works for you.

You can reset all settings to their factory defaults manually by pushing the "Reset" button of the ASUS 802.11g AP while it is ON. Push the "Reset" button with a pen or a paper clip for about 5 seconds or until the power LED starts blinking.

Cannot access 192.168.1.220 in web browser. Need it to set up WL-330GE as a repeater

If you have your asus WL-330GE connected to a router and you are trying to access it from another pc connected to the router...it will not work. You need to connect directly to the asus unit.
Then...

1)You will need to configure your computer to talk to it by changing the TCP/IPv4 under your LAN connection settings> Properties to read Manual IP of 192.168.1.10 if reset or 192.168.40.10 if not reset. then...

2) type 192.168.1.220 if you have reset it. Or 192.168.40.1 if it is not reset.
default user/pass is admin/admin for a reset unit.

I lost my password for my ASUS portable wireless access point, is there anything i can do?

reset it. user/pass will be admin/admin. Note it will also reset the IP address so accessing the login will require additional adjustments.

Problem with Asus WL-330gE configuring page

Did you connect the device to your PC using the ethernet connector and power it up using either the USB or power adaptor? Those two cables have to be connected between the ASUS and your PC before you try to access the admin page via your browser.

How to initially configure the access point

Should work right out of the box. Are you asking what type security you should set up?

There is password security, turn off the broadcast security, MAC address security and others.

May I suggest Network Magic to help you set up and maintain your network.

I use the paid pro version and love it.

How to set up the wl-330ge as a repeater?

What the instructions don't clearly explain is you must plug the WL-330gE into a device that has both a wireless connection and an active ethernet port. If the ethrnet port is active you should see two small lights on either side of the ethernet port on your device after the .WL-330gE is plugged in Once that's done you can run the detection software and it should find the device. Select configure and a browser will open and you'll be taken to the ASUS configuration website. Log in using the user name and password in the startup guide. The configuration page my open up in Chinese language, if so select the drop down at the upper right corner of the screen and pick the first item in the list which is English. Select the tab which matches the configuration you need and follow the instructions. Hope this helps.
