Question about Intel Motherboard

1 Answer

Msi p35 neo2

Hi,
i have a msi p35 neo, hd3850 graphics, 2gb corsair memory, maxtor 250gb HD, hiper 520W PSU.

1) when the mains supply is off and after turning it on, why does the computer start for a bit and then restart?

THE MAIN PROBLEMS
2) upon turning on the computer, the mother board beeps (2 short beeps). But everything is installed correctly and is recognised by BIOS (note windows is not installed yet)

3) Everytime before i enter BIOS, it shows for literally 1 second that hard drive can't be found before BIOS is loaded. But in BIOS, the correct hard drive and size is found.

the is my first build and im sure im being over cautious and paranoid.

thanks in advance!

I have the P35diamond mobo, al from the beginning he did this, just one time when power was unplugged completely and replugged, now it do stop suddenly and restart 20 times or stay cycling on and off, maybe MSI has a solution.

Take off all the stuff from the mobo except the processor, a stick of ram and the graphics card - will it get further now?

I agree with you about the power supply being faulty. Unfortunately FixYa is not affiliated with Antec nor sells or service any computer components.
You need to contact the supplier who sold you the power supply or contact Antec.

Pc died

Hello, I have had similar problems with that same motherboard in the past and have found that resetting the cmos (see users manual) or just taking the battery of the motherboard for a few minutes can solve this. CAUTION please remove the power lead on your tower before touching any components inside, and earth yourself first by touching metal.. as static discharge kills pc components..
Hope this helps.....

Most burner software will only allow one burn at time. It has nothing to do with how many drives you have. If you had two differant types of burner software you might be able to burn 2 DVD's at the same time.
