You need to get a pump that will push water about 10 feet. sump pump is probably what I would use. Sears usually carries pumps like that as well as Steve Regan Company.

I would like to buy a ping pong table for a room in my basement but am not sure if the room is large enough. How much space do I need for a ping pong table?

A full sized table is 9 x 5 feet and 30 inches from the floor, so you will need more than that to enjoy the game. As a beginner, you will need a minimum of 5-6.5 feet behind each end line and around 3 feet on each side. Another factor you need to consider is the height of your ceiling, including any low hanging fixtures that may get in the way.

Can I continuous drain this unit with a hose into a house drain longer then 6 feet from unit with a good pitch.or do I need a ejector pump.

Unfortunately, Russell the length of the hose can not exceed 5 feet. If you're using it in a basement application, you may can stretch it to 6 feet to the floor drain, if you get the unit up off the floor by about 6", onto something sturdy, that can handle the weight of the unit & the vibration. I don't think an ejector pump is the answer. As it would require a sump for the water to drain into and the pump would have to be located in it. Just a lot of extra expense, that really isn't worth it.

I hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Just purchases the DD50PC. Set the pump to continuous, hooked the hose to the slop sink in basement approx 8 feet, pump running fine but when looked at it the next day the pump had shut off and the tank...

The reason this happened may be two fold. Either the hose is clogged or the length of hose is to long and then has to go up hill into the slop sink. The owner's Manual says the pump is rated for an 8 foot lift. However, what I have discovered is that rating, does not take friction loss in to account.

Try moving the unit closer to the sink and shorten the hose about a foot or two. Actually, a floor drain would be perfect, if you have one in your basement.

Hope this helped you ad thanks for choosing FixYa.

I am thinking of buying the ADER50LP. Can a drain it directly to a floor drain, by-passing the bucket? If so, does it have an external spigot or will I need a hose? Are ADEW50LP and ADER50 LP identical?

You will need to use a drain hose that is no longer than 5 feet. Using a hose relies entirely on gravity. So, the hose must slope downward with no kinks. A short 5' section of Garden Hose works well. The female coupling end attaches to the dehumidifier. It's a very effective way, not to having to stop and drain the tank time it's full.

The ADEW50LP, is a low Temperature Unit, which designed for basement applications.
The ADER50LP, is a standard unit. Used for all applications, other than a basement.
Both have the external drain feature and the same water extraction capacity.

Hope this helped you. Please let me know.

MY WASHER WON`T DRAIN

  • Wait to see if the water will drain on its own since there may be delays of up to three minutes between cycles.

  • Unplug the washing machine to avoid risk of electric shock.

  • Confirm that the drain hose is not "kinked," or trying to drain from a height of more than 8 feet from the floor.

  • Remove the front service panel at the bottom of the washing machine by unscrewing the three small screws using a screwdriver.

  • Drain the tub by opening the drain plug, which is located under the washer door adjacent to the pump. Use a bucket or large plastic bag to contain the water.

  • Clean any lint, coins, pens, screws, clothing or other items out of the drain.

  • Blow into the drain hose to determine if there is anything clogging it.

  • Feel the pump. If it is hot, it may also be clogged. Remove the pump, open the tension clips and remove any debris from inside the pump.

  • Reassemble the pump. You may need to replace the factory-supplied tension clips with metal screw clamps.

Just purchased a home with water ace sump pump.

That's the idea; if you lift the float the water starts pumping because it works off of that float. That type of pump is usually meant for water that is in a tub or bucket, so that when the water reaches a certain height and causes the float to rise allowing the pump to kick on. I use a pump like that to pump our the drained water from my washing machine in my basement, i let the water go into a big 50 gallon drum and then once the drum is half full i have it set so the float rises and pumps out the water. That being said, if you are putting this in your basement at floor level, you would need to get a 10 gallon bucket meant for sump pumps (you can get one at your local home store) and rent a jackhammer if your basement is concrete and put the bucket in the floor and the sump pump in the bucket, this is called a sump pit. Another option is to get whats often called a "floor ******" pump. Its a pump that sucks the water out when it reaches around a half inch of depth and it can be used in several feet of water (I've used these as well, there is no float involved), and it can be set on level ground there is no sump pit needed. The one thing with my pump you may not want, is that it's constantly running because its constantly monitoring for water so that a lot of water will not build up (especially if water can damage some thing in the surrounding area) . You can check out all the types at your local home store.

What is the vertical pumping capacity for a Maytag Neptune washer

I believe it can be done, but I dont think it is recommended by the manufacturer. if you are in a basement and that is your only option, the only suggestion I would have is to build a platform for the waher and dryer to sit on . It would have to be very sturdy. Maytag recommends that you install a wash tub or something of the sort and install a sump pump to pump the water into the drain.

How high can the outlet hose from a Kenmore Series 90 washing maching pump. Location is in basement with not drain but could get to basement window and then to drain. Window approx. 3 feet from top of...

The pump should be able to move waste water 3 feet above the washing machine but if that fails, then you could always buy a sewage ejector set up ( plastic barrell with internal pump and water level sensor) . Those have a highjer pupm head pressure and would be able to move water up a column further than a washing machine pump. IN all probability, you will be ok at 7 - 9 feet from floor.
    Hope that helps..
