The blanket doesn't heat. It's properly connected. The control box has two LEDs that keep on flashing regardless what I do with the wireless remote. I have two remotes, each one set for single side use--left and right. The batteries are fresh. The control box has two small slide switches under a small access panel. They are both set to 1. I've tried setting them to 0, one at a time. Nothing happens. The two lights on the control box keep on flashing and the blanket doesn't heat. HELP!

I think the board is burnt out on the unit and is in need of service or replacement through Sunbeam.

One can contact Sunbeam at 800-892-7684 for bedding.

What does E 1 mean on the control. My blanket does not seem to get warm

E1 Is usually due to a bad connection or wiring error - broken wire etc.

"E1" appears for several reasons:• The wireless connection between the remote and control box can't be established.• The plug between the control box and the blanket is loose.• The plug from the control box to the AC outlet is disconnected. What if the speed LEDs on the VR2/VSI begin to flash?

  • Determine if the battery charger is connected to the power base. When the battery charger is connected to the power base, a charger inhibit feature keeps the power chair from driving. This is indicated by the VR2/VSI speed
    LED(s) flashing.
  • Determine if the charger harness fuse has blown. A blown charger fuse can cause the charger inhibit to
    activate.
  • Determine if all controller connections are plugged into the power base properly. If the 3-pin charger
inhibit connector is not plugged in properly, then the charger inhibit feature will activate.

The 2 controls to our electric blanket are flashing "FF". What does that mean, plus there's no heat at all from it.

With the Sunbeam blankets that I have owned, FF meant that there was a bad connection somewhere. Have you tried the unplugging and replugging the Controller cord back into the blanket? Make sure it is plugged in GOOD AND TIGHT. If that part is connected as tightly as it can go, you may have a defective element.

What does the light flashing on a sunbeam electric blamket controller mean and why wont the blanket heat up

The flashing red light is designed to notify you in the event that
a problem has been discovered by flashing the light on the base unit.

Before resetting the unit. First, check the blanket/mattress
pad for visual damage.
If no visual damage is found, unplug the system from wall outlet.
Check that the base unit is well connected to the module. Plug the power cord into the wall outlet. Set the base unit to "On." If the system still does not operate after two or three times trying to reset, disconnect the power cord and get it checked out by a specialist!
