We have the error code E000001-0002 which is because of a paperjam. We cleared the jam and can't figure out how to get to the menu to reset the board to show it is cleared.
E000001-0002 refers to the fuser assy either getting to hot or not hot enough. Fuser error codes cannot be reset by power cycling the machine even though that is what the display tells you to do. In order to reset the fuser error code you must enter the service mode & reset the code. To enter the service mode: press"Additional Functions" button (looks like a picture of a head with a star inside) press the #2 and #8 at the same time (simultaneousley) press "additional functions" again The display should show a choice of copier, feeder, sorter, fax,or board service modes Select copier select clear select ERR press OK Turn power off & back on.
After clearing error stay at the machine to see if it comes to ready. The fuser assy can reach 139 degrees C.(Water boils @ 100C) The error can only be cleared through the service mode because a technician should inspect the fuser to verify there is nothing faulty that could possibly start a fire. If you enter the service mode & clear the error, power cycle the machine & during warm up the machine throws a code again- turn it off, unplug it & call a tech for fuser repair.
You have to go into service mode to clear the error code. Your problem
with your copier is possibley that you had a power surge or a drop in
voltage and it coded out or the fixing unit is shorting out
You have to go into service mode to clear the error code. Your problem with your copier is possibley that you had a power surge or a drop in voltage and it coded out or the fixing unit is shorting out.. You have to hit the right buttons. http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/forums/printer/46145
Powering down and powering back up should clear the error after it initializes, if doing so does not clear the error then it most likely is an issue with the sensor that detects the paper... if this is the case, take the unit to a local service center that is authorized by canon.... or call them to get the local service center. The reason why you have to take this to a servicer is because the sensor is not user replacable.

Please check for paperjams within your printer tray. Remove any pieces of stuck paper, then restart your printer and your error should go away. Thank you.
That is a paper jam code. Reopen the cover, and clear all paper jams. Close the cover, and then I would reset the machine by turning it off and on if the code continues. http://www.german-parts.de/oki_manual/paperjam/stau_b400_series.pdf
When you removed paper from the machine, did it rip at all? If it did, a small scrap could have been left behind, causing the jam code. Depending on where the machine is located and who uses it, there might also be a foreign object lodged in it (like a staple or paper clip). If you think there is nothing in there causing the jam, try turning the machine off and turning it back on, and see if it still shows the jam.
Step 1 Turn
the printer off and on to see if it can automatically clear some or all of the
jam. Many printers provide an error-code listing on the front panel display for
the area where the jam occurred. If your printer shows an error code, be sure
and check the printer manual to see if that identifies the area of the printer
where the jam occurred. Step 2 Turn
off the printer. Step 3 Remove
any paper trays. Inspect them for wrinkled or damaged paper. Step 4 Open
any other doors that give access to the printer's paper path and to the toner
or ink cartridge. Step 5 If
necessary, remove the toner or ink cartridge. Place it in a bag or away from
light to avoid damaging it. Step 6 If you find a piece of jammed paper, remove it by holding it with both
hands and pulling firmly. The goal is to keep the paper from tearing.
If several pieces are jammed together, try pulling out the middle piece first
to loosen the jam. Step 7 If the paper does tear, try rotating the roller gears manually to free
the paper. Don't force anything, though. Step 8 Replace
the toner or ink cartridge and paper trays, close any doors you opened and turn
the printer back on. Step 9 If
the printer paper jam message still appears, then there is still some paper in
the printer. Inspect the paper path once again.
Were the heaters at fault. It is more like a thermister problem. Replace the thermisters, both. And I would also change the thermostat as well. When you are sure thatyou have removed the faulty unit reset by doing the following.. service mode/copier/function/clear/error followed byswitching the machine off and turn on again.
We followed the instructions from your tech. on which buttons to press to get into the menu function and then followed the directions for clearing the error code. After that turned the printer off and back on and the error code reset and the printer worked like a champ.
We have reset the error code on the control panel before after clearing the jam but cannot find the instructions to do it again.
Thanks
Yes. Thank you it is cleared.
