I recently had this happen too. My 2 year old dumped a bunch of juice down the front. It crawled up the front of the screen and looked like I would have to replace the screen. I just opened it up and cleaned the juice out the best I could, I then used Windex to make sure the screen was good and clean. I made sure all the Windex was dry before putting it back together and it looks like new! Was a little scary, but it worked great.

Why is aSide by side fridge leaking brown liquid from below ice maker?

Thank you for your post, friend!

I understand that you are seeing a brown liquid come from under your dispenser area. I would recommend you having a professional come out to your appliance to check and assure the water lines are connected properly and not developing any moisture problems to form from under your dispenser. I hope this is helpful. -Matt

How to remove moisture from between a Projection TV Screen.

You tried to clean your projection TV screen with windex and sprayed it onto the screen. Later you notice that there is liquid between the screens. How do you get it out?

First your screen is composed of three pieces. It may not look like it but there are three pieces of plastic making up the screen. If any liquid gets between them you will have an anoying problem.

You will have to remove the speaker grille to get to the screws that hold the screen on. Pulling gently on the side of the grille you should be able to get the grille to pop off. Move your fingers around the grille to continue removing it. Do not force the screen but pull on it steady.

Once off you should see the screws holding the screen on at the bottom of the screen. Remove all screws. If you have magic focus you will need to remove the back first so that you can disconnect the wires to the sensors. Removing the back is simple and only requires the removal of the screws around the perimeter of the back assembly.

Once this is done grab the screen on both sides and lift it straight up. You may have to tug to break it loose. Once off the screen can be removed from the frame by removing all the screws around the perimeter.

You should be able to separate the screens (there are three) with a razor knife and dry them. I would leave the screens apart for a few days after wiping the liquid off just to make sure there is no moisture left.

Reassemble the screen as it was prior to disassembly and use duct tape or black tape around the edge to hold it together. Place it back in the bezel and reassemble the unit. It should be good and have no moisture problems.

Thanks for using FixYa .

My bf steped on his laptop and there are 3 cracks that are black and green, can plasma screens befixed on the inside?

Laptop screens are LCD (liquid Crystal Display, most laptop screen are made up of 5-7 layers with the LCD plate in the back all bound together in an aluminum frame with the backlight installed on the bottom to light the LCD up. Thses can be disassembled and the inner plate replaced, but it is cheaper to just replace the whole unit.

Frame rusting badly. Have had it welded

This will not work. The frame supports the entire vehicles weight. Epoxy or liquid nails will not support like the frame was meant to do.

Something leaking from dispenser frame

You can remove the frame around the dispenser by pulling it gently and then you access to the screws that hold the dispenser in place. Could be a spillage behind the frame. Good Luck.

hair dryer will help to peel it off clean but if your beyond that already peel as much away as you can and clean the remaining residue with alcohol or mineral spirits being very careful not to over do it you dont want any liquid to run between the screen and the frame. apply directly to the cloth not the screen and not alot of pressure if this is a LCD you could crack the screen then your f#$%ed

Liquid under screen

You need to take the screen off the front. You will find the screen comes away from the frame and seperates into two sheets. The liquid is seeping inbetween the two. If you clean it with Meths it should sort it without marking it.
