Micro SD 2 GB just stopped working

Suddenly my SanDisk Micro SD 2GB quit working. My LG VX8550 Chocolate Phone can't read the card and when I put it in the slot on my computer, computer does not recognize it as nothing happens. I've had this SanDisk Micro SD 2GB card for about 4 months. Any solutions?
Thanks, KG

I woke up one morning, and my 2GB microSD memory card was not showing in my HTC 6800, nor would any out of three computers in my house read it. two phones and three computers did not display it.

I have a 1gb, purchased just over 6 months ago, and today when I added new music to it from the computer, then replaced it in the phone, neither the phone nor the computer would recognize the card.

The PIC or EEPROM inside these cards may not be working. I guess you best bet is to buy a new one try Kingston brand or go with another Sandisk.

I cannot get a 2GB Micro SD card to work in my LG KC550, I have purchased two cards they are Sandisk and kingston. can anyone help?

did you format your sd card before insert into the phone? does your phone support 2GB card, refer to the manual for those. Also try to put your sd card into some other phone see if it read.

I have free space that i can't use on my SanDisk micro SD card.

Make sure its formated FAT 32 or above such as NTFS this will shore up this memory issue problem with your memory stick.

Good luck and God bless

LG Chocolate 3 won't read my Micro SD card full of MP3s!

Ok, I figured it out. Well, ok, maybe I didn't figure it out, but I did solve the problem -- by making sure everything on the SD card was backed up, and then reformatting it. Then I put all my MP3's back into the "my_music" folder on the card, and it all showed up on the phone -- finally!

My LG Chocolate VX8550 wont recognize micro sd card

Here are the steps I took:

  1. Insert the micro sd card with the metal plates facing you (that took me a second). Don't worry about the little push you have to give.
  2. Go to the Settings & Tools option in the Menu.
  3. Select *. Memory
  4. Selct 3. Card Memory
  5. Select Options while the bar is on "1. Memory Usage". The only option available to me was 1. Format and select that.
  6. It will ask for the phone lock code-if you have never set it IT IS THE LAST 4 DIGITS OF YOUR TELEPHONE NUMBER.
  7. The phone will format the card and put the file folders on it.
  8. Use the adaptor USB reader or whatever you have to connect it to the computer. Copy songs to the my_music folder.

for mp3 as ringtones:

  1. You should select the part of the song you like, and can add effects with this:http://www.mptrim.com/
  2. To set it as a ringtone, send it as an attachments to you [email protected]. It must be small to go through, around 30 seconds.
  3. You will get a text message, and select options. Select Save As Ringtone.

4 GB micro sd and the Sandisk Sansa e250R...

If the 4gb micro SD is a high capacity SD (it will say micro SDHC on it) your player may not be able to read SDHC cards, my sansa can't because it's the 'older version' it will read 2gb and below micro SD cards though (it sucked when I found out because I had just bought a 6gb micro SDHC)
