Check for ice build-up in and around the freezer fan where the blades are, if you can see ice in there (some times it may look like white foam but dont be fooled, it will be ice), the fan will be hitting it, defrost the freezer and check defrost element, (you will have to dismantle freezer section to get to it but reletively simple job) disconect from mains first. Good luck

LG LFX33975ST French Door Refrigerator, 32.5 cu. ft. Which fan is making noise?

Question edited for clarity, MAKER.
Question moved to Model Category.

Your fridge freezer has three fans.

The compressor evaporator fan cuts in and out as required to maintain temperature.

The fridge evaporator circulation fan runs to maintain an even temperature. It stops when to open the door and resumes when you close it and stops when the set temperature is reached as long as the compressor isn't running. If the compressor is running, the fan normally runs to prevent icing which happens slowly.

The freezer also has a fan, and that runs pretty much all the time unless target temperature is met and the compressor is not running. This fan runs when you open the door to stop the moist air from the room freezing on contact to the 0'F, -18'C evaporator fins. The fan keeps the air moving to deposit less frost.

It sounds like your is running normally except for the noise. Trace the noise and find it. The compressor fan has a Shark Paper fibre board cover and these often distort over time and touch the fan blades. That is the common cause. The less common cause is the internal fans pinging off built up ice that should have been removed during the defrost cycle.

Samsung refrigerator loud noise

if the fan is still running when you open the door , the I would be leaving that idea as a last resort
try this
get 2 taper door chocks and put one either side at the back of the fridge
push the cabinet sideways and slip one chock in a bit then do the other side
many noises are from the bottom plate that the compressor is mounted on from tapping on the floor and lifting it a bit stops the noise
the same as when you open the door the pressure on that plate is removed and so it stops hitting the floor

Freezer is not cold enough, even though the control panel says that the temperature is where it should be.

pull the panels inside and check the fan usually in a fridge freezer the fan cacks out or is full of ice clean it out and clean the overflow tube if fridge is cold enough then it is the freezer fan

My Samsung Refrigerator is making a noise that sounds like an old style door bell. It a loud buzz that occurs several times a day. Do you have any ideas?

Your refrigerator has at least three motors with fans in addition to the compressor motor. The one most suspect is the one that passes air from the freezer to the refrigerator.

This sounds like your motherboard, computer or control board(they call it different things in different models) is bad. It is responsible for the fan speed and timing of the defrost cycle. To locate your timer, motherboard, control or adaptive defrost control , enter your model number and search for the part or post back on Fixya.

Upright Frigidaire freezer with warning buzzer on constantly

If your'e positive the temp is ok then your freezer cold control may be bad. Slowly turn it toward off. If the compressor doesn't cut off before it gets to off, the control is probably bad. Test it here>http://www.acmehowto.com/howto/appliance/refrigerator/refrigerator.php

I have a Samsung RS21DPSM side by side fridge under 2 years old and the other day a loud noise was coming from fridge Sounds like a fan as when you open fridge door it grinds to a stop) compartment and...

hi
i had the same problem with mine, and fixed it very easily in about 10 minutes all you do is take all the shelves and draws out, then remove the light cover (one screw at the top)then the bulbs, there are three screws on this panel top middel and bottom, take these out,now gently pull the panel off, behind are two plugs unplug these and completly remove the panel.
next unscrew the water chiller at the bottom of the fridge and lay it in the botttom, take the deoderizer cartreges out and remove the two screws out from behind there, just two more screws at the bottom of the panel, there should be two plugs at the top of the panel, unplug these and remove the panel completley ,if like me you should find the fan all iced up, some warm water on a spunge should remove this and the fan should move freely if the ice is severe then remove the fan motor and run the panel under some hot water untill the ice is gone, assuming the motor is'nt burnt out this should cure it.if you want to test it plug the panel back in also the light panel ,and hold the light switch after about 30 seconds to a minute the fan should run,now just put it back together and thats it....

hope this helps
