We just got a 55 inch LG LED TV. How do we set it up to the Direct TV Box?

I answered this yesterday and links to Shop Jimmy. He doesn't list them, but a similar set are available on eBay. There are 6 as I said.

hi check the led driver board for dry joints, what is the voltage you tested, my guess is the led in the panel has shorted out, thanks

To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced.

Restoring the Default Settings

Delete all the TV settings data and reset the TV. All the options in the Settings Menu will be reset to the default settings.

on you r remote there should be three hdmi settings just try each one it will likely work with one of them

First thing to try would be to update the firmware. This link should take you to the LG support site where you can find the download and instructions you need to update your television. Look under drivers and software. Good luck.
