I recently purchased a lg 42ld400 a few wks ago and can't seem to get the picture clear when I saw it n the store it was clear and bright with excellent color while few of my channels are good most look a lil fuzzy or snowy. I have my settings like the one in the store but it dosent look near as good. Maybe half as good. Can you help me with a good pic setup/settings. And another ? If the backlight is set real high can this reduce the life of your lcd and if the picture is set to vivid does this reduce the life.

When purchased a few years ago the picture and color was excellent. now it is dim and not sharp, adjusting brightness and contrast does not improve it much

The backlight may be going out or it may be a circuit board. Check the manual for trouble shooting.

I recently purchased a 47"

Your TV has a light sensor that changes the brightness of the TV based on room brightness.

It's called an "Intelligent Sensor"

You can turn this off in your "Picture" settings.

Congrats on such a nice TV purchase.

If this was helpful, please rank me a 4.

The touch screen on my LG Ally has recently quit working. I am unsure if the sensitivity has been altered or if it is even possible for it to be adjusted. This phone is only a few wks old for me so I am...

Unfortunately, it sounds like your phone may have some hardware damage. I would try taking it back to the store you bought it from and, if you can, bring your receipt. Where the phone is only a few weeks old, they may swap it out for you, or else suggest ways to get it repaired.

LG Studioworks 700E

It sounds like one of the capacitators inside the monitor is malfunctioning, these little things store a certain amount of necessary power and then discharge it when it is needed.  If it is malfunctioning, it could explain why it takes so long to charge, and why when you hit it, it suddenly comes on.
