Motor runs but mechnism dont move - Kenmore 12102

Sounds like the motor is trying to run but the other machine parts are not moving. If your machine is an older mechanical (not computerized), then it's very possible the machine has seized due to lack of regular cleaning and oiling. Avoid trying to run the machine in this condition as it can damage the motor.

Wheel on right side that controls the needle up and down is very tight...

if the motor is running and neither the needle or the hook are moving, then your motor belt has come off(the motor will sound like it is racing). If the needle is moving, but the hook is not, you may have a broken gear, or timing belt.

sounds like the spool case is jammed up
take the spool case out

check the drive belt is ok

in some you just need to remove the case
and tighten a screw on the drive sproket inside
you can find the plastic spleen holder on the drive wheel has stripped
or cracked so the motor will run and nothing moves

the machine probably needs to be check to see why the needle & bobbin aren't working

Its sound like the belt is slipping, maybe if its under warranty try to call the place that sold it to you. Most motor belts are accessable for adjustment and servicing. Its on the right side under the handwheel.

Check the settings for bobbin winding to be sure they are not activated.

It sounds like you have a broken belt. The belt connects the motor to the large handwheel on the right side of the machine. Usually the side cover comes off with just a couple screws and exposes the motor belt, however some require removing the back cover also. You should be able to get a belt at your nearest sewing machine repair shop. Take your old one with you so you get the correct size.

If you open the side of the machine and the belt is not broken. The pulley on the motor may be damaged.

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. I HEAR THE MOTOR AND BELT IS MOVING BUT NEEDLE IS NOT MOVING

Make sure the clutch motor is powering up. make sure voltage toggle switch is on 110v and not 220v. Also rotation set correctly. Independently, make sure the motor runs. With your hands and motor belt disengaged, attempt to turn the handwheel toward you. If it is moving, then make sure motor is running. It handwheel does not turn it could be the machine. Make sure the stitch length dial is set at 2 or 3 and not 0 or 5. That could be that problem as well.
