Hi,

The correct code - or whether there is any code - depends which version of Sky remote you have. This can be found on a sticker inside the battery compartment. The Sky info for your TV is somewhat confusing. Sky have an exact match for your TV model number but if you have the RC1600/00 remote, Rev 4 or Rev remote, they do not list any codes. If you have the Rev 8 remote, they list the following codes: 0206 1293 1280

However, despite listing codes for the Rev 8 they also state that "these codes are not available for your version of the Sky remote" - confused? I am.

So, I suggest you try the above codes regardless of which Sky remote version you have and if they do not work, also try the generic codes for LG TVs for each version of the Sky remote:

Rev 4: 0065 0742 0502 0672 0634 0136
Rev 6: Same as Rev 4
Rev 8: 1293 1177 1206 0206 0065

Basically, I suggest you try all of the codes above regardless of which version of Sky remote you have, including RC1600/00. There's a good chance one of them will control the volume and standby functions.

If none of the above codes work, please post back, let me know which version of the Sky remote you have and I will try to assist you further.

Regards,
BElectric

Hi. Your appreciation is appreciated ;) Sorry these codes didn't work for you. You will need to buy a "Rev 9" Sky remote in order to use the same remote for both your TV and Sky box. This remote will definitely work with your TV and the correct code will be either 0206, 1293 or 1280. The new remotes are available from "TheDigiboxShop" (copy and paste link from my next message below) or just search for "Sky Rev 9 remote" on Google or whichever search engine you use. Please note there are some cheaper import copies available but I suggest buying a genuine Sky remote. Hope this helps. Regards, BElectric

Please note: These listing states "Sky HD" but this actually means Sky, or Sky , or Sky HD. basically they work with all versions of Sky digibox. If buying one, be sure to check the button for the "Rev 9" version ( £0.85).

Great. Thanks for letting me know. I thought you were already using a Rev 8, hence my suggestion to buy a Rev 9. Good to know that Sky's information is still as reliable as ever . . . they give your TV a code, then tell you it wont work with your remote even though it does. This is quite normal, so I always suggest people try the codes regardless of which version they have. I suspect Sky are aiming to boost their profits by selling people Rev 9 remotes they don't actually need. Nothing that Sky does - particularly with regard to squeezing more money out of every customer - surprises me.

What is the code for LG 37LE4500 TO WORK WITH SKY REMOTE CONTROL

I also have an LG TV. I used this 4 digit code: 0742.

TO PROGRAM THE remote USING THE 4 DIGIT CODE:

1. Turn your TV on.

2. Press tv on your Sky remote control.

3. Hold down select and the red button together for about two seconds, until the red light on the Sky remote control blinks twice.

4. Press tv on your Sky remote control again.

5. Key in the four digit code for your brand of TV. The light on the Sky remote control blinks twice. If the light blinks once only, recheck the code for your brand of TV and start again at Step 1.

6. Press the standby button on your Sky remote control. If your TV switches off, press select. The light on the Sky remote control blinks twice (code stored). If your TV does not switch off, press tv, then press the standby button. Repeat this (press tv, then standby) until your TV turns off, then press select (stores code).

Need a code so that i can operate my LG tv. model no. 37LG5010 using my sky remote.

Firstly you may need to identify which version of remote control you have, versions that are dated pre 2002 may not operate the more modern TV's and a new remote control will be needed To see which version you have, open the battery cover on the back of the Sky remote and look at the text on the sticker it will state ‘Sky rev’ (or Sky+ rev or Sky HD rev), followed by a number, such as 4, 6 or 8. This number indicates the version of your Remote Control.
Version 4: May 2001 (Sky+ introduced)
Codes are 0065, or 0405,or 0037
Version 6: March 2004
Code are 0065, or 0405, or 0037
Version 8: January 2006 (includes all current Sky+HD remote controls)
Code are 1293, or 1206, or 0206
Programming the remote control
To control your TV firstly switch on the TV set, point the Sky remote at the TV, press the "TV" button on the Sky remote, then press and hold the "Select" and "Red" buttons together until the red light at the top of the Sky remote control flashes twice. Enter the code for the TV listings above (Use the 4 digit codes), the red light will flash twice if a valid code has been entered. Press the standby button on the Sky remote control, this should switch the TV set off, if so then press the "Select" button to store the settings. You should now be able to switch the TV back on and use the volume control button from your Sky remote.
If the TV did not switch off then it may require a different code, you can either start again using one of the alternative Direct codes above or continue with this process by continuously pressing "TV" then "Standy" then "TV" then "Standby" etc until the TV set switches off. This will provide a manual scan for variations within that product code

42LH3000 I CANT GET MY SKY REMOTE TO WORK WITH THIS TV. I NEED A CODE IF THERE IS ONE

To use sky+ remote control with LG 42LH3000 you must have a rev ver8 remote controller.
The codes are stored in a database of the Sky remote. If the old codes don't work
you may need to buy the latest Sky remote. Otherwise it is a matter of waiting for the
new Sky remote which may have the updated codes.
Note: LG Support supplied the following for Rev.8: 0206, 1293, 1665, 1174, 1176, 1219, 1280, 0857, 0851.

Version 1: August 1998
Version 2: December 1999
Version 4: May 2001 (Sky+ introduced)
Version 6: March 2004
Version 8: January 2006 (includes all current Sky+HD remote controls)
Once you have the ver 8 controller - code 1176 should work

Sky remote code for LG 42LC46 tv

After spending hours on this I found that code 0206 worked on my sky+ remote(with LG 42LC46). On an old sky remote, prior to version 4 (inside the battery compartment), just use 206.
This code was actually for a LG 42PX5D but it works perfectly on my tv.
