To getproper heat, keep your temp setting at 30+ degree and also mode in "heat "position. If still no heat, check your heating sensor for closed circuit by an OHMsmetre. It it's with RV, check power to RV

SOURCE: my heat pump blows cold air for the first 10 minutes or so

Don't know how long you have had a heat pump but thats the nature of them in colder weather. Some people prefer to switch to "emergency heat" on the t-stat when temps fall below 20 or 25 degrees. This bypasses the heat pump and allows your back-up heat to heat the house. If your house is total electric your emergency heat is an electric furnace and it should handle the load if it was sized properly. Don't leave it on emergency when it warms up because your heat pump is much cheaper to operate than the furnace. As always, check your air filter since it can restrict the amount of air that moves thru the furnace, which is critical. Hope this helps

SOURCE: not blowing cold air

Your in house core could have frozen over. check the core inside the indoor blower unit. it may have frozen over. this will interrupt the cold air function.

SOURCE: window ac unit is not blowing cold air

When the unit is running, go outside and put your hand near the condenser fins, this air that comes out should be slightly warmer than the ambient temp. If it is not you will need to take the unit out of the window and out of its outer case and clean the condenser fins from the inside, this is no easy task as it is very hard to reach. You will want to get a small (toothbrushed sized) brass bristled brush with a long handle. Make sure the evaporator coil (in the front) recieves the same attention and wash the mesh filter that goes in front of the evaporator. Re- assemble and enjoy the cold air.

PTAC Blows Cold Air in Heating Mode when it reaches -3F less than the Set Value on the Thermostat - Model: AZ65H15DABW6

It sounds like your PTAC (packaged terminal air conditioner) unit is malfunctioning. When the thermostat is set to heating mode, the PTAC should be blowing warm air, not cold air. There are a few possible causes for this issue:
  1. The PTAC may be low on refrigerant. If the unit is low on refrigerant, it may not be able to properly heat the air.
  2. The PTAC's reversing valve may be stuck in the cooling position. The reversing valve is responsible for switching the flow of refrigerant between heating and cooling mode. If it is stuck in the cooling position, the PTAC will blow cold air even when the thermostat is set to heating mode.
  3. The PTAC's heating element may be malfunctioning. If the heating element is not functioning properly, the PTAC will not be able to heat the air.
I recommend contacting a trained HVAC technician to diagnose and fix the issue with your PTAC. They will be able to determine the cause of the problem and repair it properly.

Amana Wall unit blows cold air before heating

The cold that you describe may be just unconditioned air? If you are certain you can hear the comp operating for a couple of minutes, and then the heat starts, I would guess it is a reversing valve issue if it's a heat pump and it probably is. Or the control board acting up. I've had a lot of issues with the boards in the Amanda PTAC units. I can't remember how to configure it, but if you Google "Amanda ptac configuration", there is a lot of info online. May try a reset method first. Hope this helps!

I have a neo plasma lg 7kw will not heat LG Air conditioner

Make sure the setting on the remote is correct . Sun symbol for heating. Make sure the filters are clean. On heating, the indoor unit will 1/2 open the flap but the fan shouldn't start. The outdoor unit should start and if working properly, will be blowing cold air. The indoor unit will open the flap fully and the indoor fan will start once it gets hot then you should feel warm air. If the outdoor unit is blowing warmish air, I would say the reversing valve coil has failed or one of the indoor temp or pipe sensors are faulty. If a sensor fails, a "CH" error should appear on the display.

LG LP0711WNR blows cold air for a few minutes, then starts blowing warm air. It will start blowing cold air again if I wait several minutes. Or if I turn it off and wait a few minutes it will blow c

I just experienced this problem myself. What helped me was cleaning out the lint trap. My guess is that the until sucks in air through there, then conditions it. Blows the cold air out the top, and hot air out the tube. When it can't suck a decent amount of air in, the condenser can only condense so much of that limited amount of air. When it runs out, the unit just runs the fan until enough air has been condensed.

My lint trap was filthy, hadnt Bern cleaned in years. Soon as I popped it off, the unit started belching out cold air nonstop. Clean your lint traps! Don't make my mistake!

I have a 2000 pontiac grand prix with a digital climate control system. The heat quit working, it doesn't blow out any heat. Now that it is warm outside the air stopped blowing out any air. The digital temperature on the climate control is not correct. When it states that it is below 30 degrees on the ext and it is warm outside the air wont be cold. Once it starts going above 30 degrees the air gets colder. Today the blower stop working all together. Was told it maybe the climate control unit was bad. You can hear the door opening/shutting when you switch the temp from cold to hot. But there was no heat blowing out whatsoever in the winter time. Could you please give me your opinion on whether or not it is the climate control unit or something else?

Uotside unit blowing cool air but hot on the inside

It sounds like you have a unit called a heat pump. When a heat pump unit is in cooling mode the outside unit blows hot air and the inside unit blows cold air. If the outside unit is blowing cold then the indoor unit is most likely blowing room temperature or warm air. It sounds like the thermostat could be controlling incorrectly or you could have a failed reversing valve which is the device that switches the unit from heating to cooling mode.

Well, if need be, turn the breaker off. Turn it on when you need heat. Sounds like the fan relay is sticking or something if that sort. Is the tstat fan selector on auto?
