I have PIXMA MX860, I recently replaced new cartridges.. but all time when I switched on printer , error u140 comes.. please help me out

Try some of this fixes:

• Press ON switch to reset the multifunction device
• Remove Packing Material MX860
• The MX860 may require repair

Canon PIXMA MX860. Turn it off. Open it and check if the black ink leaked inside most especially on the cartridge panel. Clean there using surgical spirit or petrol using a cloth.
Fit the cartridges in their actual point (Black and Color). Connect its power and USB cables and then switch on. This should work for you.

This just happened with my MX860. I pushed the "Stop" button on the far right of the control panel and held until it beeped. Appears to do some kind of a reset. After that, the U163 error was cleared and it printed again. Don't know how long it will go before that happens again but it is working for now. Hope this helps.

Cause : The FINE cartridge may not be compatible with this machine.
Action : Install the appropriate FINE cartridge. If lines are misaligned or the resulting output is not satisfactory, carry out the FINE Cartridge alignment.

You need to buy the ink with the new chip installed, or buy a resetter. The only way to print now is with a new cartridge either Canon, or with a new chip.

I have Canon M560 printer installed 8 months ago. I replaced the CLI 221 Magenta and CLI221 Cyan ink cartridges, won't work and got this message Error 1411. Tried repeatedly to reinstall the ink cartridges and still have this message coming back. Any solution you could offer? I would appreciate it. Thank you.

The eraser worked for me! They wanted to charge me at Canon.....pfft.......

Had the same error after replacing my black ink om my MP830.(UO71) I Put some Methylated Spirits on a cotton tip and gently cleaned the cartridge chip (allow it to air dry). This fixed my problem!
