I have one of the DX800 Gigaset phones and it works on some of my PSTN lines and not others. So I get three outcomes on 5 lines
1. Two lines get a very scatchy dial tone and wont dial out.
2. Two lines work fine
3. Two lines I don't even get a dial tome
All of the lines are connected to the BT master socket.
I have tied removing the face plate and plugging straight into the master socket.
I have had bt out twice to test the lines and they pass all tests.
A standard phone in the problem lines works fine on all of the lines.

Try a harware reset! dont worry this will not delete anything on your handset. it is a simple procedure:
while the phone is on take out the battery and then the sim
then insert the battery by itself and power it up.
It should ask to insert a sim or something along those line.
when it does take the battery out again while the phone is on.
put it all back together and power the phone up again.
If this does not work.
Try MnuL ROm in network settings. search manualy and select a different network to what you are on and then do the same and go back to your service provider. then reset back to automatic.
if that does not work there is one more thing.
if the handset is 3G try setting to GSM mode only.

basically install your phone as if it was new .
I think re registering the handset to base will fix it.
