We purchased a EL 2334 Casio Cash register. We would like to unprogram all the taxes and have absolutely no tax on the machine. Can you help please :)

I have not found any cash register with this model EL2334, I recommend to call 800-706-2534 option 1 to ask for a manual directly with CASIO

go to PGM 3 then go to
1- Machine Feature
go to
9-Tax Table
go to
1- tax table 1
set tax rate to 5.0000
set Rounding to Round up
set singapore Rounding to Round up if you are not using the 1 cent anymore
set calculation Type to Table and Add on

Press ESC to go back to Tax Table window and choose
2- Tax Table 2
repeat the same steps as for Tax Table 1 but set the tax rate to 9.98

Programming taxes on Casio TE 2000

Seems to me that if i remember right i read something that said you had to tell the machine what was taxable, as in all purchases or just some purchases and you also had to program in the tax as 7% would be .07. That's all i remember about that, but maybe this will point you in the right direction. Hope this helps

Please find below the solution:

Non-printing models (also applies to HR-8TE printing calculator):

1. Press [AC]
2. Hold [SET/%] key for about 2 seconds
3. Press [TAX+]
4. Input the tax rate
5. Press [SET/%]


Printing models (except HR-8TE):

1. Have calculator in "print" mode
2. Press [CA]
3. Hold [SET/%] key for about 3 seconds
4. Input the tax rate
5. Press [TAX+]
6. Press [SET/%]

1 CLK# 3 SUBTOTAL 0125 SUBTOTAL 8.75 CASH 0 CASH 5002 CASH SUBTOTAL
turn key to REG1
8.75 is my tax enter your tax instead. make sure to put the decimal point.
