Hello
You just replace the freewheeling capacitor, normally come up to a value of 5600pf 2000V or so, connected to the collector of the horizontal output transistor, fitted very close to the collector lead. Replace the yoke return capacitor, 0.33uf or so also. Usually samsung sets use no heatsink for the horizontal output transistor. You just put a small heatsink to it and check. If it doesn't overheat, you can remove it later.
You can suspect the deflection yoke also for shorted winding. To check this. pull out the CRT base board out of the neck of the picture tube, place it where it doesn't get short circuited, and unplug the deflection yoke connection from the main board, and switch on the set. See whether the transistor overheats now. If it doesn't overheat, suspect the deflection yoke for shorted turns of winding inside it. Till the transistor overheats, suspect the LOT.
NOTE: Never switch on the set while unpluging the deflection yoke connection plug from the circuit board, without dismandling the CRT base board. CRT may get damaged, with a black burned spot inside the center of the screen.
OK.

Sir,I have a problem with a Bpl 21 inch CTV old model.output voltage is fine but when I press stby key it starts to work but in a second it turns to standby mode.so how can I solve this problem.

Check and replace damaged component/s at its horizontal scan output section circuit. Check the LOT (Line Output Transformer) too for damage. Replace the horizontal scan output transistor. Check the input voltage to LOT. If the voltage is absent check the feeder resistor; if any. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. My Samsung cs21a503fl Hout getting over heating (TT2222 and FQH21a004 LOT) Replaced but now horizontal width bit high ?

There are many reasons for this fault. If the transistor is leaky, it will overheat. If the winding have a short [horizontal out section of the deflection yoke], the transistor will overheat. If the base pulse width is abnormal, this might happen. You have to find out the exact reason for this. Contact any service technician. It will be the best. Your set need a through checkup.

Sony tv 21 inch horizontal output transistor failing frequently

Picture on Samsung TXL2791F gets smaller after a few minuets

The horizontal output transistor that drives the flyback transformer overheats now. There might be other reasons too for this fault. If the flyback transformer has any internal winding short, this transistor will overheat.
Just replace the horizontal output transistor. Check its heat. If the newly replaced transistor too overheats, replace the flyback transformer.

Horizontal transistor all damage in few hours after replace

Dear Sir:

Please review your schematic T.V, any component around from Horizontal transistor can destroy it.because is in Short Circuit, use your DVOM for isolate the components, measure the resistance, continuity ,and test for transistor, capacitor, resistor, diode, etc. 2) You must shure if the replace is the same caractheristic from the original.
Otherwise, the componente can not be result.

You can download the schematic from www. retrevo.com

sincerely. God bless you

One horizontal black line about 1 inch wide, in the almost center of the screen

check the horizontal transistor it is faulty or the diode at the collector of the same transistor it can be open or shorted.if you are not a tech, have a tech repair your tv..good luck.

Lg flat 21 inch tv -horizontal o/p transistor burn after 1 minute & sound chik chik

You have to check the high voltage diodes near the horizontal transistor and the small transformer. Diodes might have gone leaky. Check the capacitors also.Replace the black colored diodes with new ones with identical part no.

Rarely EHT coil will have problem.
