you are having a compatibility issue with the system between vista ultimate and you will not find drivers for vista ultimate. so you will have no sound. you can install xp and you will have sounds.
Sorry but is this a laptop or desktop? you have both in your listing! One of a couple issues! 1) Sound card went bad. 2) Volume control is set too low? 3) lost the sound card driver -may need to reload the driver. 4) CD drive crashed! - does it
what brand is your pc and wat model number? you missing the sound driver, you have to download it and install the real one from the manfacture website.
On many CD-Roms, or burners, there is a plug on the back that is for Digital Audio. It is a rectangular shaped plug. Some PC's require that a cable is attached from the back of the burner, to either the on-board audio (on the motherboard), or to the sound card that may be installed. If you have any further questions, just let me know :)
Looks like you need to buy a new soundcard. Creative Labs makes an excellent 7.1 digital card for PCI slot that is relatively cheap. Just make sure when you purchase the card, it is Vista Compatable.
Hi, it sounds like your onboard sound is faulty,
Purchase and install a PCI sound card, these are reasonable cheap and produce good sound quality.
