The Serial Number (s/n) is a ten-digit alpha-numeric number that is unique to your product. The Product Number (p/n) is a six or seven-digit alpha-numeric number that identifies your product. If there is a pound sign (#) or a dash (-) in the p/n, enter only the letters and numbers before the # or - sign. Both numbers can be found on the Universal Product Code (UPC) or Service Tag sticker located on the back, side, or bottom of your product (see picture below). STICKER EXAMPLE (Your sticker may look different) where is the serial # located on the HP dv9500t - c02499427.gif

Internet download manager serial number

laptop s/n (serial number) is usually found on a label on the back of the computer, along with the manufacturer's p/n (part number). Rarely this label will be stuck onto the sides, lid, or around the keyboard area. It might be located inside the battery compartment, and necessitate removing the battery. There is also the possibility that the label has become illegible, or is not present.
I do not know of another way of locating the s/n

Don't no serial number

Look at the bottom of the laptop in a Service Tag, or other label. You may have to remove the Battery Compartment Panel, and see if it is stated there.

Depending on the laptop, most laptop manufacturer support websites have an automatic feature, for finding the exact info about your laptop.
Something like "Click here to detect your laptop"

Example with HP, (Also Compaq. HP bought out Compaq),

http://www8.hp.com/us/en/support-drivers.html

Detect Your Product

What is the laptop's manufacturer name, and model name? (Should be on the top of the laptop. Example: HP Pavilion)

Where is the serial number on my pavilion g7 laptop

Hi.

Good day. The product and model numbers that identify the components in your notebook are printed on a Service Tag Label . This type of label has been affixed to the bottom of the notebook or under the notebook battery since the year 2000. The following sample shows you how to identify the information on the label. Hope this information helped in answering your questions. Have a great day

I cannot find mY COMPUTER gATEWAY SNID?

The serial number is located on the right hand side of the desktop tower near the bottom of the side panel on a white label with a 22 character serial number. On older systems the serial number may be located on the back or bottom of the case. The same white label will be located to the back side if its a laptop. You can also find it on the BOX.For 2010 laptop,it will also inside tha Battery Bay.

For desktops that shipped with the Microsoft® Windows® 7 Operating System, Acer provides an application entitled Identity Card, which can be used to display the serial number for your desktop.

To launch the Identity Card software:

  1. From the Start menu, click All Programs.
  2. Click on the Gateway folder.
  3. Click on Identity Card.

Alternatively, the serial number will be located in the BIOS which can be entered by pressing the Delete key /F2 key when turning the desktop on.

Anyone has a complete compac HP OS

**NOTE: Even though your computer may SAY that it is a Presario V2000, it may have an entirely different product number for downloading drivers specific to your particular configuration.**

1) Look at the serial code on the back/bottom of your computer: there is a number starting with p/n (ex. p/nEX664UA#APL) This code identifies your computer beyond the V2000 label.

2) Go to the compaq/hp website: http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/welcome.html#Support

3) select "Download Drivers and software(and firmware)"

4) THEN, enter your P/N Instead of "Presario V2000" into the product name/number box, and hit enter.

Select your operating system, and you will be redirected to a page listing all the necessary drivers for your model.

5) Scroll down the screen, and you will see a section where you can order free copies of the recovery cd. just enter your serial number from the bottom of your laptop.
