Check the fuel filter and the fuel strainer. The strainer is located on the right side of the heater at the bottom. It is on the side of the fuel sump with 2 screws holding the cover on. Turn off the valve at the oil barrel before removing the strainer and have some rags ready to catch the fuel that will come out. You may also have an air bubble in the line. Use the small screw on top of the filter to vent the filter. You can also place a bowl under the line where it connects to the back of the heater and loosen the line so you can get the kerosene flow started. Hope this helps.

Shuts off after slowe burning ,8888 flashes, and all burner lights fash. Monitor 441 oil heater.

There is specific instruction on web site for 8888 code flashing, as bbtoast has instructed.

From a distance we are unable to do the test procedure, you will need to do it, follow the instructions given on THIS PAGE. you also will need a multimeter to test for the 2.4volts and also a 10K ohm resistor to test.

Without testing as instructed here are your options
06c7dee.jpg plus failure of combustion motor.

Sorry no magic wand available, you will need to get your hands dirty, part identifiers and circuit diagrams are also on given site

I think you will find that Brian has already indicated this much and there is not anything more anybody could tell you.

Cheers.

What does the burn cloth do under the burner?

moved category from Computer Monitors

Probably to soak up spills, or the igniter doesn't work as they are using lighted cloth.

Briggs and stratton 3.5 ran out of oil now it wont start

You might check the Shear Pin. If it's damaged at all it can cause this type of problem. It's located under the Flywheel, on the Crank Shaft.

My 441 monitor heater will ignite and then it burns for a little while then goes out and starts flashing.

sounds like your heater may be starving for fuel. check all your rubber hoses for cracks first and then continue troubleshooting from there.

My 441 model monitor heater kicks on but cuts off in about ten

Mine cut off also. I thought it was the wall plug. But as it turned out, I took the cover off the back, cleaned the filter (kinda like a blow dryer clogs in the back) and it is working fine now..... Hope that helps...
