When replacing drums you have to have the printer off first, so the drums will reset. The best way to do this is to contact Rich @ www.summitechnologies.com; [email protected] you can get the fuses cheap, and you will have to take apart the drums and replace the fuse, expect an hour or two to do this.

This means that one of your drums has exceeded its life cycle (carries toner from the cartridge) and generally run around $100 +/- to replace.

Dryer got very hot and smelled burning..

This is usually a result of a stalling idler pulley or drum, causing a burned spot on the drum drive belt.

The situation will only worsen. The belt is best replaced before it breaks.

Items to pay attention to, when the drum drive belt is replaced, are:
(1) Clean and lube the idler pulley and drum roller shafts.
(2) Confirm that the drum glides will yield additional service life.
(3) Check motor condition and de-lint the blower housing and blower intake pathways.

Oki C5450 error message

The figure after the K drum Life tells you how much life there is left on the BLACK (K) drum. C indicates Cyan, M indicates Magenta and Y indicates Yellow.

Go to the USAGE MENU and look at the K DRUM LIFE setting. This will be a 2 digit percentage value. As you have just seen the message appear this will mean that the drum life remaining is ....whatever the 2 digit value displays.

The life expectancy of a drum is approximately 15,000 pages.
