Replacing the ceran glass maintop

Actually if you've removed the 2 or 3 screws at the front (underside) of the cooktop, you can lift up the front. Prop it up with a board, and then remove the 4 screws that hold the 2 brackets that hold the 4 elements to the cooktop. Now pull the cooktop forward a bit, and you should see a green ground wire attached to the back of the cooktop. If not, then don't worry about it! Just pull that cooktop up and off the range. You will need to transfer the 2 tabs in the back of the cooktop, and the silver steel bar located at the front of the top to the new cooktop. Then reverse the process to install the new cooktop and re-fasten the elements to it.

HOW TO UNLOCK JEN-AIR STOVE TOP MODEL# JED4536WR01

The All Off cooktop touch control turns off the downdraft exhaust

system and all surface cooking areas that are in use at the same

time.

The Lock cooktop control avoids unintended use of the surface

cooking areas. When the cooktop is locked out, the surface

cooking areas cannot be turned on by the cooktop touch

controls.

To Lock Cooktop: Touch and hold the ALL OFF/LOCK keypad

for 4 seconds. After 4 seconds, ALL OFF/LOCK will glow red,

indicating that the cooktop controls are in the lockout position.

To Unlock Cooktop: Touch and hold the ALL OFF/LOCK keypad

Hi, We have MAYTAG schott ceran flexchoice glass cooking top. Even after cleaning it with a ceramic glass top cleaner, stains are remaining on it. Can u please suggest what is the best way to clean it .

Sudha3025 -
Sorry to hear you're having trouble getting your cooktop clean.
You mention you are using a glass-ceramic cleaner but I would also suggest scrapping the stains with a NEW metal razor scraper. A cooktop scraper is similar to one you would use to scrape paint off your windowpanes at home and you can typically find them at a hardware store. The razor won't damage the surface like other abrasive sponges might. For best results, hold the scraper at approximately a 30 degree angle to the cooktop and protect your hands by wearing an oven mitt.
Also try using a Wieman sponge in conjunction with the cleaner on those stubborn stains.
As always, try to clean up spills, especially sugary ones, immediately when they happen, or get them away from the hot burner area and clean after every use.
Hope this is helpful!

I am just looking for a manual for a Bosch CERAN SCHOTT 5030002293 induction cooktop.

If you were to log on to the manufacturer's web site, I think you will be pleasantly surprised as usually one is able to download, by model number, Customer Instruction Manuals, list of Dealers, Driver downloads and Installation Instructions as required.

Just Google the manufacturer's name and follow the links. Make certain you are directed to the manufacturer's web site as some search engines direct you to other sites and they charge for the information that is normally free of charge.

I hope this helps.

Good morning we are staying in a house of friends who are on holiday. I would like to clean the Bosch Ceran top but I am not sure which cleaning stuff I can use. Is the use of CIF creamer allowed with a...

Harry -
I would first see if your friend has a special ceramic cleaner in his or her cleaning supplies cupboard. If you can't find a ceramic cleaner, the best thing you can do is use hot water to clean the surface. All-purpose cleaners (like Cif) can damage the ceramic glass so it's best to avoid using them.
Also, look in your friend's cleaning supplies cupboard for a metal razor scraper. Use the razor scraper to scrape off any burnt-on food or spills. Do this by holding the scraper at approximately a 30 degrees angle to the cooktop while wearing an oven mitt to protect your hands. If no scraper is available, don't resort to a knife or abrasive sponge as these could damage the ceramic glass.
When the cooking surface is cool, apply a few dabs of the ceramic cleaner (if you found it) in each burner area and work the cleaning cream over the cooktop surface with a damp paper towel. Then wipe down with water and dry with a clean paper towel.
If no ceramic glass cleaner is available, it is sufficient to wipe down with hot water and a soft sponge. Never use abrasive sponges or scouring pads on ceramic glass cooktops. Also watch out for corrosive cleaners such as over sprays, cleaners containing chlorine or ammonia and stain removers - these will just further damage the surface.
