I have a Toshiba Laptop Model PSADOU-05400P/A135-S4527 On start up the Toshiba screen will flash on the screen for a second or two,then the screen will go black.But i can take a flash light and shine into the screen and i can see all of the display images faintly. Everything looks fine when i hook up an external monitor. Could this be a inverter problem or ccfl back light problem?

Sounds like you have two problems, first! the hard drive is probably gone bad, second! the LCD screen is suspect, try hooking up a computer monitor on the the video output located on the back of your Laptop, if it produces a clean signal you know there is a Laptop screen issue.

It sounds like your inverter take bake for warranty repair.

remove battry and clean it from dust.also clean dust from laptop.
check that your battery is working proper.

First try an external screen to see if your operating system is loading , if it does get a flashlight point it on the screen and check if you see a faint image , if you do it must be a bad FL inverter and if not a bad LCD, try calling toshiba tech 18004577777 to check your warranty if you still have warranty send it for repair.

Ok just to clear the question up... I you just installed a new HD in your laptop and have already downloaded your recovery cd that came with the pc then you are asking for the remaining drivers that you are missing... if so here is what you need to do. If you are not missing your internet driver go to www.driveragent.com this requires a yearly membership of I think 29$ This will scan your pc and give you the drivers to download. If you just installed a new HD and if you turn your computer on and get nothing this is because you did not install your recovery disk,,, if you do not have your recovery disk ONLY Toshiba can provide this and you can order it from them. I would also call Toshiba for your driver disk as well if you cannot get on the internet...
