I have a used microwave that mounts under a cabinet, Kenmore model 721. It has only two screws to mount through cabinet does it require additional hardware? Seems alot of weight for just two screws.

There is usually a mounting bracket that mounts to the wall and the microwave hooks into that and is held up by the two screws you referred to in your question. Unfortunately, you have not provided enough of the model number for us to look up any info to help you find a new bracket to mount to the wall. Hope this helps!

Kenmore microwave 721 85032010 will turn on but won't heat or spin

Chances are that is just a defective top or bottom door switch or its mount.
See our help file on door switches here.
Also, that model number does not show up as a valid US Kenmore model.
Please check the tag in the cooking cavity or elsewhere n the oven and let us know if you need further help.

Kenmore Microwave oven Model 721 63664300. The light in the oven is out and I can't see where to replace it. Can't find my owners manual and can't find it on line.

FAN WONT SHUT OFF

My Kenmore microwave oven fan has been turning on and off, almost every hour. Sometimes 3 or 4 times in one hour. It's very random. Model No. 721-80593401 Serial No.503TA03208

Kenmore Microwave Won't Heat Food

The service manual is here.

Unless there's a bad connection at a magnetron terminal, I would say you have a failing magnetron.

It is part number 2B71165R and you can get it from the Pros here for $68.59 (subject to change).

You put a mounting plate on the wall behind where the unit will be mounted. Then the microwave hooks onto the bottom of the mounting plate and you swing it up to the cabinet above it. Then you must screw 2 mounting screws through the floor of the cabinet above into the bracket on top of the microwave.

I like to thank you for the info... I was attempting to remove the microwave the previous owners had installed and could not figure our why it would not come down after removing the overhead screws. Worked out well... it is down now and my project can move forward.
