If your power supply light is blinking and wont reset that means a component in the power supply has failed or fried or something unknown happened and will have to be replaced

I have a Dell Dimension E521. When I cut the power on everything comes on including the monitor, but the monitor will stay black. It does say something about power save hit any button but the screen

A solid green light means the computer is operating normally.

A solid yellow light indicates the power supply is operating normally but the computer is not processing data.

This could mean there is a problem with the CPu or another component on the motherboard.

((A blinking yellow light indicates the power supply is receiving power from the wall, but not functioning properly.
This generally means the power supply itself is bad and should be tested or replaced.))

A blinking green light means the computer is in standby mode.

You should consider visiting Dell Support and downloading the manual for your

Hp pavillion 620n will not power on the light in the back is flashing was told it is the power board someone. Can this be true and can it be replaced?

To determine the cause of the problem, disconnect all power cords from everything in your machine, and if the light is off, your power supply is bad. If the light stays on, something else in your computer is bad. Most likely the motherboard, but also possibly the processor.
