We have an older pioneer elite pro-99 and a few weeks ago it shut itself off when we were watching something. Ever since then when we try to turn it on, the power comes on for a split second ( no picture or sound though, just the green power button comes on) and then immediately shuts itself back off (the green power light turns to red). Any ideas or suggestions on how to fix this or what the problem might be?
We are having the same problem of the Pioneer Elite Pro-99 turning itself off all of a sudden. The red 'non' power button comes on as if we had turned it off remotely.
We would love to resolve this. If you can help let us know.

your tv's hardware might got the problem. this should fix with an expert technician that they have a tools for fixing this problem. if repairing will cost you alot then i suggest that you have to buy a new tv insted of repairing your old tv. hope that helps!

Pioneer PRO 99 Elite shuts itself off automatically after watching it for a short time, maybe 10 minutes or so. Does anyone have any suggestions on what the problem might be?
Mine does not turn itself off, but when it gets truned off it is hard to get it to come back on. It use to be that you could get it to come on after turnig it off and on as many as 20 times or more. It would get to where it would make noise and you could see the ANT-A for a split second before it would click off again then it would finialuy come on like it just needed to warm up. But a few day ago I lost power from a storm and now I can not get it to come on. I still get the speaker popping sound and the ANT-A for a split sencond but it will notcome back on.
