Hi

Dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. Check the drain hose for any visible clogging, remove if present. If no visible lint is present then remove then turn off the dishwasher and remove the drain hose and check for any visible clogging. If still not visible then the drain filter or drain pump is clogged and you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump. Check the below schematic for drain pump location--

When it comes time to - daniel_s_19.gif

The entire pump assembly can be removed from inside the dishwasher tub.
1. Remove the access and toe panels from underneath the dishwasher door by removing the screws securing it to the dishwasher frame.
2. Disconnect the wiring harness connectors from the drive motor and pump motor terminals, the soil sensor and the thermistor.
3. Disconnect the drain hose from the drain hose connector on the pump outlet.
4. Remove the pump motor.
5. Remove the sump tabs that secure the sump assembly to the dishwasher tub.
6. From inside the tub, lift the front of the sump up approximately ½ inch. Push the assembly back and then lift it out.

Please note that dishwashers don't drain out the complete water such that heating element doesn't overheat. Hope this helps... Please post back for any further assistance.

How do you drain rest of water out when pump don't take it all out

One way is to reset and start the dishwasher for a few seconds. Most dishwashers turn on the pump for a quick burst to remove the standing water before the unit adds fresh water.
Another is if you are going to do a repair or clean-out use a turkey baster to suck out the remaining water. Even high end dishwashers leave a small amount of water in the sump until you do the next wash.

Hello, LG LD 14AT1 dishwasher, starts cycle runs 3 minutes, starts stops on off no water in bottom. Then displays OE chimes! Checked tap under sink water there, checked filter inside bottom, turned off for...

Hi

OE in your dishwasher is a drain error and dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. First make sure that the drain is not clogged and remove clogs if present. If no visible lint is present then remove the lower front access panel to check the drain filter and drain pump for any clogs, you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump completely. Also, check for any food pieces stuck near the pump impeller & clean the chopper assembly. If the issue returns after cleaning then the drain pump assembly should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

My Dishwasher works but still leaves some standing water.

Check the filter unit located at the bottom (inside) rear for clogging. Sometimes food will accumulate in the filter and not allow the unit to completely drain.

E20 message I get on my washer machine

Below is for Whirlpool/Kenmore, u might find it helpful. Some machines have a small trap door on left front bottom, coin trap.

The filter on your pump is probably clogged with lint and stuff. You have to remove the bottom front panel, 3 torx screws underneath. The panel will drop and come off. Drain off the excess water from the drain pipe you see. The white filter cover is right in front. Get yourself a good plastic bag to collect water. Unscrew the filter cover and twist the filter out. Clean out all the stuff and put it back in carefully. Check your pump too, comes after the filter.

On some models the filter is located ‘inside’ the big hose from the bottom of the tub. This takes more time to clean.
