If you are install the printer using the CD, try not to plug in the usb cable in the begning/ the driver software will ask you to connect the usb cable so try to connect it at that time.
Click on the link below. When you reach the page, select XP and scroll down to locate your printer. You will see the driver for your printer there. Click on the link to the left of your printer and download the driver. Hope this answers your question. All the best! Greg
What operating system are you using? go to support.epson.com website and go to drivers and support. go to printers then click on impact printers then drivers and download page.
